BIRMINGHAM, A.L. – For the second time in tour history and the first time since 2017, the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will buck into Legacy Arena at the BJCC on January 4.
For one night only, some of the best bull riders in the world will duel with some of the rankest bovine competitors bred to buck in a must-see showdown that is only coming to town once in 2025.
In 2017, Skeeter Kingsolver (McLouth, Kansas) went a perfect 2-for-2 to take home the event buckle.
Paired with Finaline Redline (Rafter Z Rodeo Co) in the opening round, the Kansas cowboy roared out of the gates and sat tall to win the opening round with a score of 86.50 points.
Now on a roll, Kingsolver made the 8 in the final round for 85.5 points aboard Outback Pharmacy (Big Rafter Rodeo, LLC) to cement his spot atop the leaderboard.
The Birmingham Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour stop is the second event of the season. In 2024, the Velocity Tour hosted more than 356,000 fans, setting 16 event attendance records, while selling out 20 event days.
The bull riding action for 2025 PBR Birmingham begins at 7 p.m. CST on Saturday, January 4, at Legacy Arena.
Forty (40) bull riders will get on one bull in Round 1 with the Top 10 advancing to the championship round for one more out and a chance at the event title.
Tickets for the single night of action are available on Ticketmaster on Friday, October 4, at 10 a.m. CDT and start at $20, taxes and fees not included. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, at PBR.com or by calling PBR customer service at 1-800-732-1727. Tickets are also available at BJCC.org or at the Legacy Arena box office.
