KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After the action on the dirt concluded for the final day of PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams: Outlaw Days, the Missouri Thunder (8-11) upset the Kansas City Outlaws (13-6) during the final out, 179.5-175, to spoil the Outlaws’ bid for a perfect homestand.
Felipe Furlan got the scoring started in a big way for the Thunder, posting the highest ride score of the weekend on Doze You Down for 91.75 points. While the Outlaws seized the lead back behind rides from Brennon Eldred for 87.75 points on Fierce’s Dirtnap and Koltin Hevalow for 87.25 points on Smooth Over It, Missouri closer Paulo Eduardo Rossetto stole the show in the final out, making the most of a re-ride on Mike’s Motive for 87.75 points to win the final game in the Show Me State.
The Thunder are currently No. 7 in the PBR Teams standings after going 1-1 in Kansas City, while the Outlaws finished their homestand 2-1 and maintained their No. 2 ranking. Despite the loss on Sunday, Kansas City remains the hottest team in the league, winning nine of their last 11 contests.
In the first game on Sunday, the Texas Rattlers (9-9) bested the Carolina Cowboys (14-3-1), 347.25-264.25.
The first three riders on Sunday all made the 8, with the Rattlers’ Brady Fielder and Daniel Keeping topping Magic Fire and Wooderson for 87.5 points each to give the defending champions a one-ride-score lead. Heading into the final frame, Joao Ricardo Vieira had a chance to close the door on the Cowboys in the top of the fifth, and he converted, hanging on to Rowdy for 84.5 points to secure the win for Texas when Carolina couldn’t convert in the game’s last out.
After going 2-0 on the weekend, the Rattlers moved to No. 3 in the standings, while the Cowboys still sit atop the standings after going 2-1 in Kansas City.
In the second game of the night, the New York Mavericks (8-10) edged out the Nashville Stampede (7-12), 86.25-0.
After eight consecutive buck-offs to start the game, Mauricio Moreira finally broke through for 86.25 points on Mama’s Boy to give the Mavericks the lead. Nashville closer Silvano Alves was unable to convert in the bottom of the fifth, bucking off Powerstroke in 3.00 seconds to secure New York their first win of the weekend.
The Mavericks' 1-1 performance in Kansas City puts them at No. 6 in the standings, while the Stampede continue to tumble, stuck in a seven-game losing streak that has them at No. 10 in the standings.
In the penultimate game on Sunday, the Florida Freedom (9-9) overwhelmed the Oklahoma Wildcatters (7-11-1), 256.75-78.25.
Both Oklahoma’s Eduardo Matos and Florida’s Alex Cerqueira made the 8 in the top of the first, with Matos topping Top Shelf for 78.25 points and Cerqueira riding Buckle Up for 82 points. After three consecutive buck-offs, Eric Henrique Domingos extended the Freedom’s lead on Risky Business, recording 85.25 points. With the game already decided, Florida’s John Crimber retook the lead in the MVP standings in the bottom of the fifth, riding Red River for 89.5 points.
Florida split their two-game stint in Kansas City and are now No. 4 in the standings, while Oklahoma went 1-2 and are now No. 8 in the standings.
The bull riding action in T-Mobile Center concluded with all four winning teams sending one rider to the Shootout Round, where the Rattlers’ Brady Fielder was the only man to make the 8, winning the special round with a monstrous 91.25-point ride on Magic Hunter.
The PBR Camping World Team Series next heads to the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, for PBR Teams: Anaheim, the second neutral site event of the 2024 season. The event begins at 6:45 p.m. PDT on Friday, September 13, 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, and concludes at 11:45 a.m. PDT on Sunday, September 15.

Texas Rattlers Best Carolina Cowboys in First Game of PBR Teams: Outlaw Days Sunday

As the final day of bull riding got underway for PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams: Outlaw Days in Kansas City, Missouri, the Texas Rattlers (9-9) knocked off the Carolina Cowboys (14-3-1), 347.25-264.25. The best riders in the world came to play in the first game on Sunday, covering their first three bulls, as the Rattlers’ Brady Fielder and Daniel Keeping topped Magic Fire and Wooderson for 87.5 points each while Carolina’s Cooper Davis topped Red Bull for 86.5 points. Renegade was the first animal athlete to beat the riders Sunday afternoon, bucking off Derek Kolbaba in 3.63 seconds in the bottom of the second frame.
Texas then turned to veteran Claudio Montanha Jr. to continue to pour on the pressure and he sat tall atop Cliffhanger for 87.75 points. With Texas now a perfect 3-for-3, the Cowboys’ Dawson Branton responded aboard Barbarosa, scoring 87.25 points to keep Carolina in striking distance. The Rattlers’ second Australian cowboy in the lineup, Qynn Andersen, roared out of the gate on Spice but suffered the first buckoff of the day for Texas after 4.71 seconds.
2022 PBR World Champion Daylon Swearingen then had a chance to tie up the game or give the Cowboys the lead, but he couldn’t handle Am I Blue after 5.57 seconds, giving Texas a chance to close out the game in the top of the final frame. The Rattlers’ closer, Joao Ricardo Vieira, thundered out of the chutes on Rowdy and scored 84.5 points, sealing the win for Texas. With the game already decided, Sage Steele Kimzey took on Almost Sober in the game’s final out and made the score look more respectable for Carolina, posting a monstrous 90.5-point ride.
New York Mavericks Win Second Game on Sunday as Nashville Stampede Get Shut Out at PBR Teams: Outlaw Days

In the second game of PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams: Outlaw Days on Sunday, the New York Mavericks (8-10) edged out the Nashville Stampede (7-12), 86.25-0. Maverick Smith was first out of the chutes, but he was bested by Black Tie in 3.86 seconds for the Mavericks. In the bottom of the first, Cody Jesus suffered a similar fate for the Stampede, bucking off Grey Fox in 6.63 seconds.
The bulls moved to a perfect 3-for-3 in the top of the third, as Bruised Ego quickly dispatched Davi Henrique de Lima in 2.80 seconds. In the bottom of the frame, Anderson de Oliveira attempted to break through but flipped over the top of Red Reckoning after 6.66 seconds to keep the game scoreless. Next out of the chutes was New York’s Leonardo Castro aboard Tchoupitoulas, and the rankest bulls in the world continued to roll as Castro was bucked off in 3.85 seconds.
Nashville’s Alan de Souza followed suit, bucking off Gucci in 3.13 seconds before New York’s Hudson Bolton was similarly dispatched by Gas Money in 3.56 seconds. Kaiden Loud initially looked like he would break the scoreless tie for Nashville, but Step That Step eventually gained the upper hand and bucked off the 19-year-old after 6.19 seconds.
Now still in a scoreless tie heading into the final frame, Mauricio Moreira finally broke through, topping Mama’s Boy for 86.25 points. In a must-ride situation, Silvano Alves roared out of the chutes on Powerstroke, but the powerful bovine competitor completed the shutout against the Stampede after 3.00 seconds, giving the New York Mavericks their eighth win of the season.
Florida Freedom Crush Oklahoma Wildcatters as Crimber Re-takes No. 1 Spot in MVP Race at PBR Teams: Outlaw Days on Sunday

In the third game on Sunday of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams: Outlaw Days, the Florida Freedom (9-9) overwhelmed the Oklahoma Wildcatters (7-11-1), 256.75-78.25. In contrast to the second game, both Oklahoma’s Eduardo Matos and Florida’s Alex Cerqueira put points on the board early by making the 8 in the opening frame.
Matos hung on to Top Shelf for 78.25 points while Cerqueira rode Buckle Up for 82 points in the bottom of the first to give Florida the lead. Cort McFadden suffered the first buckoff of the match at the hooves of Margin of Error, losing the rope after 4.09 seconds. Florida was unable to take advantage of Oklahoma’s stumble, as Caden Bunch was unseated by Crazy Times in 4.03 seconds. The Wildcatters’ Kase Hitt became the third-straight buck-off victim, as the Oklahoman was dislodged after 6.24 seconds.
Eric Henrique Domingos broke the elite animal athletes’ streak in the bottom of the third, riding Risky Business for 85.25 points to extend the Freedom’s lead. After Hayden Harris bucked off Coco in 2.64 seconds, Florida’s Elizmar Jeremias had a chance to close out the win aboard Fire Magic. The duo rocketed out of the gate and the Brazilian initially sat tall before being flung off to the right after 4.87 seconds. Oklahoma’s closer Austin Richardson needed at least 89.25 points to keep his team in the game, but Washita Red shut the door, bucking off the Texan in 3.14 seconds.
With the game already decided, 19-year-old John Crimber roared out of the chutes on Red River and again took the No. 1 spot in the MVP standings, covering the powerful bovine competitor for 89.5 points. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 PBR Teams New Rider Draft is now 15-for-24 (62.5%) on the season.
Missouri Thunder Upset Kansas City Outlaws in Final Show Me State Showdown Matchup of the 2024 PBR Teams Season

The PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series action inside T-Mobile Center Sunday afternoon concluded with the Missouri Thunder (7-11) upsetting host Kansas City Outlaws (13-6), 179.5-175 in dramatic walk-off fashion. Texan Boudreaux Campbell was the first to go in the final regular season 2024 Show Me State showdown matchup, but he couldn’t get the Thunder out to an early lead, bucking off Wild Card in 6.16 seconds.
Sporting an eight-out ride streak, Sandro Batista rocketed out of the gates on Rip and saw his streak come to an end after 6.20 seconds. In the top of the second, Felipe Furlan took on Doze You Down and moved in perfect time with the powerful bovine competitor, posting a monstrous 91.75-point ride, the highest-marked ride of the weekend. 2024 PBR World Champion Cassio Dias attempted to respond for Kansas City on Red Dirt, but he was dislodged after 3.28 seconds and flung to the dirt. Missouri next turned to their captain, Andrew Alvidrez, who shared a chute with Beef Cake.
The powerful bovine competitor moved to a perfect 8-0, bucking off the Texan in 3.54 seconds. In the bottom of the third the Outlaws’ Brennon Eldred finally broke through for Kansas City, riding Fierce’s Dirtnap for 87.75 points. Grayson Cole attempted to restore Missouri’s lead on Cold Creek, but he hit the dirt after just 2.87 seconds, giving the Outlaws a chance to seize the lead. Maikon Calixto Rocha couldn’t convert for the home team, however, as The Show ousted him after 4.25 seconds, putting Kansas City closer Koltin Hevalow in a must-ride situation.
The Smithville, Missouri, native roared out of the chutes on Smooth Over It and he converted to give the Outlaws the lead, scoring 87.25 points. However, Paulo Eduardo Rossetto stole the victory in the final out of the contest, riding Mike’s Motive for 87.75 points for the walk-off win.
