HOUSTON, Texas – For the second consecutive season, PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) premier Unleash The Beast will buck into Houston, Texas, taking over Toyota Center with the Michelob UTLTRA PBR Houston on Jan. 17-18. The event will mark the eighth time the sport’s top tour has taken over Houston, and second that the world’s best bull riders and bovine athletes have competed inside the home of the NBA’s Houston Rockets.

For two nights only, more than 30 of the best bull riders in the world will go head-to-head against the sport’s rankest bovine athletes, showcasing the ultimate showdown of man vs. beast in one of the most exciting and unpredictable live sporting events to witness.

The upcoming Michelob UTLTRA PBR Houston will be one of the first events of the new individual season as riders vie for early points in the race to be crowned the 2025 PBR World Champion, earning the coveted gold buckle and $1 million bonus.

The bull riding action for the Michelob UTLTRA PBR Houston begins with Round 1 at 7:45 p.m. CT on Friday, Jan. 17, followed by Round 2 and the championship round at 7:45 p.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 18. All competing bull riders will get on one bull each in Rounds 1-2. Following Round 2 Saturday evening, the riders’ individual two-round scores will be totaled with the Top 12 advancing to the championship round for one more out and a chance at the event title.

When the Unleash The Beast debuted inside the Toyota Center in January 2024, Wingson Henrique da Silva (Navirai, Brazil) rode supreme, delivering a perfect 3-for-3 performance to win the event, cracking the Top 10 in the race for the 2024 World Championship. Silva clinched his first victory of the 2024 season with a mammoth 90-point ride atop I’m Legit Too.

Earning a crucial 112 Unleash The Beast points, Silva rose from No. 19 to No. 9 in the race for the 2024 PBR World Championship. As the season continued to unfurl, Silva qualified for his second career PBR World Finals, concluding the season No. 23 in the standings.
