Earlier in the evening, the Carolina Cowboys stayed undefeated, improving to 9-0-1 by coming from behind in the fifth to defeat the Austin Gamblers.

The Ridge Riders, however, responded in fast form, propelled to an 80.25-point lead in the top of the fourth when Keyshawn Whitehorse converted atop Rorschach for 81.5 points. Following a buckoff from the Stampede’s Cody Teel in the bottom of the fourth, both teams turned their focus to a crucial fifth frame.
Arizona was unable to cement the game win in the top of the frame when Bruno Carvalho was brought down in 5.33 seconds by The Kraken.

The buckoff put Carolina closer Sage Kimzey in a high-pressure situation, needing a score of more than 89.25 points on UTZ BesTex Smokestack to win the game for Carolina. Nodding with confidence, Kimzey matched the powerful animal athlete jump for jump, making the whistle with ease as the crowd erupted in raucous cheer.
