PUEBLO, Colo. – In a format where each ride matters and a mere quarter of a point (.25) can make the biggest difference in any game result, affect any given event title or even decide the 2024 PBR Teams Champions, rank rides mean even MORE in the thrilling 5-on-5 format.
Just 10 calendar days away from the third season of PBR Camping World Team Series action, what better way to get pumped up for this summer’s 5-on-5 action than looking back on the fiercest conversions from year two?
Which next-level rides stood out to you from last season?
Who do you think throws down the rankest score in 2024?

No. T7 – 91 Points: Jose Vitor Leme, Sage Steele Kimzey, Dalton Kasel, Trace Redd (All Over the Place!) Knowing that four different riders were able to produce matching 91-point rides throughout the season, we figured we had to set the bar just above 91, but still wanted to give each of these four riders their flowers, as 91s in general don’t come around very often!
Two of the four actually came on the same day, as Carolina Cowboys fans and all attendees at the second-ever Cowboy Days showdown were treated to a pair of flashy efforts on the event’s opening night of action! With both Trace Redd (then riding for the Texas Rattlers, albeit now suiting up with the Missouri Thunder in year three) teaming up with Hunter and crowd favorite Sage Steele Kimzey dazzling during his first home-market appearance (dancing with Mike’s Motive), the duo set the tone for what became one of the more electric weekends via their matching 91-point efforts!
Meeting the mark more than two months prior during an Outlaw Days matchup riding with the Austin Gamblers, it was Dalton Kasel who lived up to his nickname once again, providing the first of the four rank scores back in early August. Followed up the next weekend by his teammate and now two-time PBR Teams MVP, Jose Vitor Leme produced a matching score en route to securing his team a win via Extra Outs greatness in Anaheim, California, during one of two neutral-site performances!
No. 6 – 91.25 Points: Cassio Dias (Stampede Days) It may have been only been his third PBR Teams event to date at that point, but on August 20, 2023, a star was born.
Very much putting himself on the map as one of the tour’s next superstars, Dias went toe-to-toe with Mike’s Motive to produce a then career-best 91.25 points of beauty during a dramatic Extra Outs conversion. Clinching his Kansas City Outlaws their second event win of the season en route to earning his second Event MVP honors of 2023, Guilherme Marchi and company understood they had a winner in their locker room.
No. T4 – 91.5 Points: Nick Tetz (Outlaw Days) Eventual 2024 World Champion in Cassio Dias may have stolen the show as the tour’s biggest come-up during the 2023 Teams campaign, but if there’s one other man who announced his arrival in similar fashion, it was Nick Tetz. An instrumental addition to the Arizona Ridge Riders last season, the fiery Canadian talent came storming into the 5-on-5 series with one goal, and it was to ride bulls.
Producing several clutch, game-winning efforts for Arizona throughout year two, this dance with Sonny B continues to rank as his second-highest ride score to date. But if we know anything about the international talent, he’ll be looking to top that mark come this summer’s slate.
No. T4 – 91.5 Points: Jose Vitor Leme (Ridge Rider Days) The two-time PBR Teams MVP and two-time PBR World Champion isn’t just the face of the Austin Gamblers. He continues to occupy his role as the face of PBR in general, as the Brazilian cowboy is a pure showcase of talent each and every time he loads into the chutes. Nothing short of that reputation was on display during Jose Vitor Leme’s 91.5-point dance last fall.
Besting Flapjack for the ever-important conversion, Champ … well, did Champ things in helping his squad exit Ridge Rider Days one step closer to clinching what would be the team’s second-straight PBR Teams regular season title. But when you work with Michael Gaffney and Adriano Moraes, it’s about winning it all – exactly what Austin will look to accomplish in year three.
No. T2 – 91.75 Points: Chase Dougherty (Thunder Days) One of the biggest reason the Ridge Riders have been the only team to finish Top 3 in both of the first two PBR Teams Championship events is because they are one of the deepest teams on tour. Guys like Chase Dougherty casually throw down rankness like this 91.75-pointer, and we know Colby Yates is here for all of it!
Continuing to serve as Dougherty’s career-topping dance, there’s always something cool about seeing cowboys get the job done outdoors. And as the tour’s second-highest (tied) scored ride of 2023 aboard Ivy League, it’s safe to say he got the job done!
No. T2 – 91.75 Points: Alex Cerqueira (Ridge Rider Days) The only rider to best Leme’s elite effort at last year’s Ridge Rider Days showdown in Glendale, Arizona, was none other than Alex Cerqueira, who provided quite the eye-popping out.
And if you were following along last summer, being matched against Ricky Vaughn usually wasn’t a good thing for the assigned rider. Cerqueira, however, had other plans, as the veteran turned in a personal-best 91.75 points of greatness. Flashy, productive and impressive in his own right, the Florida Freedom will be feeling good about their odds this summer if they can see him return to this form!
No. 1 – 92.5 Points: Wingson Henrique da Silva (2023 PBR Teams Championship) The Kansas City Outlaws didn’t back down from much last season, specifically unafraid of mixing up its carousel of personnel in attempting to find its group of dedicated individuals. And since acquiring Wingson Henrique da Silva from the Carolina Cowboys prior to the 2023 PBR Teams Draft., it’s fair to say they feel pretty good about the swap.
Especially after seeing Silva produce a welcome 12-for-21 slate during his first season riding for the orange and black squad. Not only representing the highest score of the rider’s career, but also the best mark of the entire 2023 PBR Teams campaign, the talented Brazilian showed off just how talented he is, logging a 92.5-point strike aboard Flyin Wired (who produced the lone 45-point bull score throughout any of the tour’s top-rated rides in 2023).
