OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Ahead of the third season for the ground-breaking PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams league, the Oklahoma Wildcatters, the Sooner State’s only professional bull riding team, today announced their 2024 game and broadcast schedule.
The Oklahoma Wildcatters are one of two new bull riding teams joining the PBR Teams league ahead of the 2024 PBR Camping World Team Series season, which will begin July 12-14 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The season will include homestand events hosted by each of the league’s 10 teams, accompanied by two, three-day neutral site events. Following the PBR Teams league’s expansion to 10 teams for its third season, with the regular-season schedule now featuring 12 events, each team will receive seven byes during the campaign.
The season will conclude in Las Vegas for the PBR Teams Championship, which will debut a new playoff format. The season-ending event will begin with a Ride-in-Round on October 17 at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. During the Ride-in-Round, the four lowest ranked teams in the standings will compete, with the two winning teams advancing to set the eight-team Championship at T-Mobile Arena October 18-20.
The Oklahoma Wildcatters will launch the league’s third season as they host their first-ever homestand, Wildcatters Days, on July 12-14 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at Paycom Center. During their event, they will play the 2023 PBR Teams Champion Texas Rattlers (July 12), Arizona Ridge Riders (July 13) and Austin Gamblers (July 14).
Their showdown with the Rattlers during their homestand will mark the first of three iterations of bull riding’s version of the Red River Showdown. Oklahoma will also play Texas on Aug. 25 in Austin, Texas, and Sept. 26 in Fort Worth, Texas, as the Wildcatters look to dethrone the league’s reigning Champions and bring the world title back to the Sooner State this October.
The Wildcatters will also take on the Lone Star State’s Austin Gamblers three times as they look to establish Oklahoma as the premier bull riding state in the country.
New broadcast rights agreements with CBS and Merit Street Media will bring all of the league’s 140 regular season games, along with the Championship event to fans in consistent broadcast windows on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET, Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET and Sundays at 3 p.m. ET throughout the season with limited exceptions.
Every out from the regular season, plus the playoffs, will be carried by CBS Television Network, showcasing its “Game of the Week” broadcasts, and Merit Street, which will add pre- and post-game coverage and shoulder programming including relaunching PBR Now, a one-hour weekly deep dive into the evolving season.

The Oklahoma Wildcatters are owned by professional LIV Golf champion and the Midwest City’s own Talor Gooch. The team is under the leadership of two-time PBR World Champion and bull riding legend J.B. Mauney as Head Coach.
The Oklahoma Wildcatters welcomed six of the team’s initial riders at the 2024 PBR Teams Expansion Draft in mid-April in Oklahoma City. The team’s foundation was built as they inked Austin Richardson (via Austin Gamblers), Cort McFadden (via Austin Gamblers), Josh Frost (via Carolina Cowboys), Kyler Oliver (free agent), Tahlequah, Oklahoma’s Hayden Harris (via Austin Gamblers) and Eduardo Matos (via Missouri Thunder).
Despite being sidelined by injury for most of the campaign, Richardson had a banner individual season in 2024 on the premier Unleash The Beast, winning two events and finishing inside the Top 15 in the World Championship race for the second time in his career.
McFadden also had a breakthrough rookie season on the Unleash The Beast, logging six Top 10 finishes en route to his first World Finals qualification, concluding the season No. 16 in the standings. At the World Finals, McFadden notably conquered Dana White’s Twisted Steel, the prized bovine athlete of UFC President Dana White, to win the $50,000 bounty.
Oklahoma then added four additional riders to their roster at the 2024 PBR Teams New Rider Draft in late May, selecting young guns Clay Guiton, Kase Hitt, Hagen Braswell and Pokey Houghton, before signing Dustin Herman and Colton Byram via free agency.
Despite Guiton’s first season on the premier series being cut short due to injury in early March, he registered eight Top-15 finishes in 10 premier series outings, concluding the 2024 campaign No. 27.
Oklahoman Hitt (Dickson) also adds an exciting talent to the roster, having won the PBR Stockyards Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas, just days before being drafted. No stranger to the top ranks of bull riding, Hitt is the nephew of renowned stock contractor HD Page, who’s D&H Cattle is the outfit behind the likes of World Champion bulls SweetPro’s Long John and SweetPro’s Bruiser.
The Oklahoma Wildcatters will make their league debut when they launch the season July 12-14 at Paycom Center with Wildcatters Days. The bull riding action begins at 7:45 p.m. CDT on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13, and 1:45 p.m. CDT on Sunday, July 14.
