New York Mavericks announce 2024 PBR Camping World Team Series game and broadcast schedule

Mavericks to take on the Kansas City Outlaws and Florida Freedom during the team’s Maverick Days homestand in Brooklyn Aug. 9-10.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Ahead of the third season for the ground-breaking PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams league, the New York Mavericks, the Empire State and Northeast’s first-ever professional bull riding team, today announced its 2024 game and broadcast schedule.

The New York Mavericks are one of two new bull riding teams joining the PBR Teams league as part of the 2024 PBR Camping World Team Series season, which will begin July 12-14 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The season will include homestand events hosted by each of the league’s 10 teams, accompanied by two, three-day neutral site events. With the PBR Teams league’s expansion to 10 teams for its third season, the regular-season schedule will now feature 12 events, and each team will receive seven byes during the campaign.

The season will conclude in Las Vegas for the PBR Teams Championship and the debut of a new playoff format. The season-ending event will begin with a Ride-in-Round on October 17 at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. During the Ride-in-Round, the four lowest ranked teams in the standings will compete, with the two winning teams advancing to set the eight-team Championship at T-Mobile Arena October 18-20.

The New York Mavericks will host its first-ever homestand, and fourth event of the regular season, Maverick Days, on Aug. 9-10 in Brooklyn, New York, at Barclays Center. During the event, they will play the Kansas City Outlaws (Aug. 9) and Florida Freedom (Aug. 10).

Throughout the campaign, the New York Mavericks will play the reigning PBR Teams Champion Texas Rattlers three times as they look to bring the title to New York this October. The teams will notably go head-to-head in their final game of the season, when the Mavericks and Rattlers play on Oct. 6 in Glendale, Arizona, during Ridge Rider Days.

New broadcast rights agreements with CBS and Merit Street Media will bring all of the league’s 140 regular season games, along with the Championship event to fans in consistent broadcast windows on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET, Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET and Sundays at 3 p.m. ET throughout the season with limited exceptions.

Every out from the regular season, plus the playoffs, will be carried by CBS Television Network, showcasing its “Game of the Week” broadcasts, and Merit Street, which will add pre- and post-game coverage and shoulder programming including relaunching PBR Now, a one-hour weekly deep dive into the evolving season.

The New York Mavericks’ complete 2024 PBR Teams game and broadcast schedule includes:

* Note: The CBS Game of the Week will air the following day.

The New York Mavericks are under the leadership of Head Coach, and 2009 PBR World Champion and Ring of Honor inductee Kody Lostroh, in addition to Assistant Head Coach, and 2002 PBR World Champion, Ednei Caminhas.

The team began to take shape in mid-April when the New York Mavericks welcomed its first four members via the PBR Teams Expansion Draft.

With the No. 2 and No. 3 picks in the Expansion Draft’s opening round, the New York Mavericks selected World Finals qualifier and former Arizona Ridge Rider Vitor Losnake, and member of the 2023 PBR Teams regular-season No. 2 Kansas City Outlaws, Leonardo Castro.

Additionally, they secured Braidy Randolph, who was a member of the 2023 PBR Teams Champion Texas Rattlers, and free agents Leandro Zampollo, Ederson Santos and Romario Leite.

Roughly one month later, at the 2024 PBR Teams New Rider Draft, the Mavericks added four up-and-coming talents to the squad, selecting Hudson Bolton, Marco Rizzo, Maverick Smith and Eikson Pereira.

The New York Mavericks will host its debut Maverick Days homestand on August 9-10 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The bull riding action at Barclays Center begins at 7:45 p.m. EDT on Friday, August 9, and Saturday, August 10.

Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com and PBR.com, at the Barclays Center Box Office, or by calling PBR customer service at 1-800-732-1727. Two-day ticket packages are available, offering fans a 15% discount on select price levels.
