2024 PBR Teams game and broadcast schedule announced

All 140 regular season and playoff games during 13-event season to be carried on CBS Television Network, Paramount+ and Merit Street Media.

By Kacie Albert

PUEBLO, Colo. – PBR (Professional Bull Riders) today announced the 2024 game and broadcast schedule for the PBR Camping World Team Series, an elite league of the world’s top bull riders competing in five-on-five bull riding games during a 13-event season, bringing fans significantly more event coverage in consistent broadcast windows.

New broadcast rights agreements with CBS Sports and Merit Street Media will bring all 140 regular season games along with the Championship event to fans in consistent broadcast windows on Merit Street and the Merit+ app on Friday at 9 p.m. ET, Saturday at 9 p.m. ET and Sunday at 3 p.m. ET throughout the season with limited exceptions.

Following the PBR Teams league’s expansion to 10 teams for its third season, changes in the schedule include increasing to 12 regular season events (10 homestands and two neutral site events); each team receiving seven byes during the season; and a new playoff format beginning with a Ride-in-Round of four teams to eliminate two teams heading into Championship Weekend.

The 2024 PBR Teams season will include homestand events hosted by each of the league’s ten teams – Arizona Ridge Riders, Austin Gamblers, Carolina Cowboys, Florida Freedom, Kansas City Outlaws, Missouri Thunder, Nashville Stampede, New York Mavericks, Oklahoma Wildcatters and Texas Rattlers – and neutral site games in Anaheim, California, and Duluth, Georgia.

The 2024 regular season will open hosted by the Oklahoma Wildcatters July 12-14 and will conclude with Ridge Rider Days in Glendale, Arizona, October 4-6. The Teams Championship remains in Las Vegas, now spanning two venues. The Ride-in-Round at South Point in Las Vegas on October 17 featuring four teams facing off will set the 8-team field for the Championship inside T-Mobile Arena October 18-20.

Every bull out in the 140-game season, plus the playoffs, will be carried by the CBS Television Network with streaming on Paramount+, showcasing its “Game of the Week” broadcasts (click here for the full Game of the Week schedule), and Merit Street, which will add pre- and post-game coverage and shoulder programming including relaunching PBR Now, a one-hour weekly deep dive into the evolving season.

“Game Day,” the Merit Street pre-show, will air live on-location before each game on Friday (one hour), Saturday and Sunday (30 minutes).

“PBR Post Game Report,” a live deep dive into the action, will follow each game. Each Monday at 12:30 a.m. ET, Merit Street will air a two-hour “PBR Weekend Recap.”

“PBR Now” will feature new episodes Monday (30 minutes) and Thursday (60 minutes) at midnight ET.

Craig Hummer, the play-by-play voice of PBR Teams, will be joined in the booth by former rider and Teams coach Cord McCoy. Kate Harrison and Matt West will serve as sideline reporters and co-host PBR Now and the pre- and post-game coverage.

“Heading into our third season, the level of talent across the PBR Teams league is outstanding, giving every team a legitimate shot at winning the 2024 Championship,” said Sean Gleason, CEO and Commissioner, PBR. “For the first time, fans can watch every out courtesy of the most comprehensive television coverage in our sport’s history. With Merit Street joining our longstanding partner CBS with same-day event coverage and more than 300 total hours of annual PBR programming, fans will never miss a ride.”

To catch all the PBR action on Merit Street, fans can use the channel finder on meritstreetmedia.com or call 1-877-844-3700 for local help. Additionally, PBR events will stream live on the free Merit+ app, which is available on all digital devices as well as on streaming devices such as smart TVs, Roku, etc.
