NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Oklahoma Wildcatters added four riders to their roster Wednesday night in Nashville, Tennessee at the 2024 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams New Rider Draft. Under the leadership of General Manager Brandon Bates and Head Coach J.B. Mauney, the Wildcatters first welcomed Clay Guiton (Cherryville, North Carolina) with the No. 2 overall pick, followed by Kase Hitt (Dickson, Oklahoma), Hagen Braswell (Telegraph, Texas) and Pokey Houghton (St. George, Utah) in the Draft’s subsequent rounds.

“I’m shocked other teams allowed us to get him,” General Manager Bates said of the team’s selection of Hitt as the No. 7 overall pick. “We’re gonna make them pay for it.”

“He’s the best ever in my opinion,” Hitt said of Coach Mauney. “It brings extra pressure. He’s a cowboy and if you don’t try your butt off, he’s probably gonna drop you.”

After first selecting Guiton with the No. 2 overall pick in Round 1, the team chose Hitt with the No. 7 overall pick in Round 1, Braswell with the No. 12 overall pick in Round 2, and Houghton with the No. 22 overall pick in Round 3.

The Oklahoma Wildcatters formally concluded their 2024 PBR Teams New Rider Draft by passing on the No. 31 overall pick in Round 4.

The Oklahoma Wildcatters’ complete roster now includes:

Josh Frost (Randlett, Utah) Hayden Harris (Tahlequah, Oklahoma) Eduardo Matos (Emilianópolis, Brazil) Cort McFadden (Novice, Texas) Kyler Oliver (Roy, Utah) *Austin Richardson (Dallas, Texas) Guiton Hitt Braswell Houghton *Denotes a rider on pre-season injured reserve.
