NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The reigning PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams Champion Texas Rattlers added four riders to their roster Wednesday night in Nashville, Tennessee at the 2024 PBR Teams New Rider Draft. Under the leadership of General Manager Chad Blankenship and Head Coach Cody Lambert, the Rattlers welcomed Shane Scott (Molalla, Oregon), Donnie Rutherfurd (Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia), Tevin Weston (Houston, Texas) and Marco Juarez (Anothony, New Mexico) to the roster as they attempt to become the league’s first-ever back-to-back Champions in 2024.
“We’re super happy with the way our Draft played out,” said General Manager Blankenship. “We got the riders that we were after, the way the Draft unfolded. So it was fantastic. We added another Australian to the team, we’ve added a couple young guys. We’re very pleased with our results today.”
“We were really excited,” Head Coach Lambert echoed. “We had a list of guys we had been looking at and other than the Top 2 being John Crimber and Clay Guiton, we got about everybody we wanted. That was really cool, and we’re excited about it.”
“Just to be Drafted is a blessing, especially in the first round,” said Scott. “I have talked to quite a few of the coaches and to be selected to the Texas Rattlers is the biggest thing to me in my PBR career. It seems like things are getting better and better for me, and I am excited for it.”
After first selecting Scott with the No. 9 overall pick in Round 1, the team chose Rutherfurd with the No. 19 overall pick in Round 2, Weston with the No. 29 overall pick in Round 3, and Juarez with the No. 29 overall pick in Round 4.
The Texas Rattlers formally concluded their 2024 PBR Teams New Rider Draft by passing on the No. 49 overall pick in Round 5, which ensured the team an open roster spot for a possible Free Agent signing.
Overnight, the Texas Rattlers signed Unrestricted Free Agent Qynn Andersen (Koumala, Queensland, Australia).
The Texas Rattlers’ complete roster now includes:
Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) Roscoe Jarboe (New Plymouth, Idaho) Cody Jesus (Window Rock, Arizona) Daniel Keeping (Montague, Texas) Brady Oleson (Blackfoot, Idaho) Jesse Petri (Dublin, Texas) Joao Ricardo Vieira (Itatinga, Brazil) Scott Rutherfurd Weston Juarez Andersen
