Key Storylines
The final three-day event of the season, Billings is the last big opportunity for riders to earn a huge chunk of points – the winner of a three-day event receives 100 points, as opposed to 80 points for winning a two-day event. That being said, several top riders are out with injury, namely No. 3 Dalton Kasel and No. 8 Joao Ricardo Vieira. Both are targeting next week to return, but in the meantime, this opens up opportunities for lower-ranked riders to make moves. Alternates Marco Rizzo, Luciano de Castro, Ezekiel Mitchell and Wyatt Rogers could use this weekend to secure their place at the PBR World Finals.
