DAYTON, Ohio – As the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event in Dayton, Ohio, got underway inside Nutter Center Friday night, Tyler Manor (Portland, Indiana) dominated, winning Round 1 and surging to an early event lead at PBR Dayton.

Manor was tasked with Dang Dang (Burkham Contracting Inc.) in Round 1 of the event in the Buckeye State. Remaining in perfect time with the powerful animal athlete, Manor reached the requisite 8 for an unrivaled 88 points.

In addition to winning the round, and claiming an early event lead at PBR Dayton, Manor garnered a crucial 28 points in the race for the 2024 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Championship.

Dustin Martinez (Canjilon, New Mexico) was second, collecting 18 Velocity Global points.

Martinez covered Dynamo (John Brennan/Danny Ford Enterprises) for 87.5 points to cement the silver showing.

Guilherme Valleiras (Pirassununga, Brazil) parlayed an 86.5-point ride aboard Thunder (LH Cattle Co./21 Cattle Co.) into a third-place finish and 17 Velocity Global points.

Rounding out the Top 5, and tying for fourth, was Daniel Keeping (Montague, Texas), Claudio Montanha Jr. (Ribeirao dos Indios, Brazil) and Josh Stepp (Hendersonville, North Carolina).

Each member of the trio recorded an 86-point ride, garnering 15 Velocity Global points.

Keeping covered Spotted Demon (3B Cattle Co.), Montanha topped Red Bull (Team Wyatt) and Stepp outlasted High Ball (3B Cattle Co.).

Action for PBR Dayton will conclude with Round 2 and the championship round on Saturday, March 23. Action gets underway at 7 p.m. EST.
