FORT WORTH, Texas – At the 50th iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase inside the iconic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, Jean Fernandes Pereira (Crixas, Brazil) went a perfect 2-for-2 to win the event title for the second straight week.

A reserve rider for the Austin Gamblers in the separate PBR Camping World Team Series, Pereira rode TFB (Farris Cattle/Big Schott Rodeo) for 86.5 points to win Round 1.

Sitting in the catbird seat entering the final round, the Brazilian roared out of the chutes aboard Skippy (Skippy & Linda Johnson/Hookin’ W Ranch) for an event-high 87 points to sweep the event.

Both round wins and the event title netted Pereira a crucial 62 Velocity Global points, solidifying his spot in the Top 10 of the Velocity Global standings entering the weekend.

Fellow Austin Gambler Lucas Divino (Nova Crixas, Brazil) finished second, also going a perfect 2-for-2.

Paired with Elkins 038 (Philip Elkins) in Round 1, the Brazilian thundered out of the gate and hung on for 82.5 points.

Looking to overtake his fellow Gambler, Divino burst out of the chutes on Whoa (Eldred Cattle) and made the 8 for 86.5 points, but it wasn’t enough to overtake the dominant Pereira.

Divino left Cowtown Coliseum with 42 Velocity Global points.

The last rider to go 2-for-2 was Colton Dougherty (Woodburn, Oregon).

The young cowboy became one with the force in the opening round, moving in perfect time aboard Storm Trooper (Farris Cattle/Big Schott Rodeo) for 83 points.

In Round 2, the Oregonian cowboy rocked down on Electric Avenue (Eldred Cattle) for 82.5 points to complete a flawless performance.

Dougherty’s perfect evening took him 31 points higher in the Velocity Global standings.

Guilherme Valleiras (Pirassununga, Brazil) finished tied for fourth with Bruno Carvalho (Alvares Florence, Brazil).

Both riders posted 86-point scores in Round 1, as Valleiras covered Buckroan (Hookin’ W Ranch) and Carvalho topped Kenny (Eldred Cattle).

However, the pair also failed to make the 8 in the final round, as Valleiras bucked off Elkins 800 (Philip Elkins) in 4.05 seconds and Carvalho was unseated by Elkins 737 (Philip Elkins) in 4.35 seconds.

The pair both returned home with 18.5 Velocity Global points.

Velocity Global points contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine which new riders are added to the elite Unleash The Beast throughout the season. The Top 3 Velocity Global riders who have not already qualified are also invited to the PBR World Finals in May.

In the bull pen, TFB 34H (Farris Cattle/Big Schott Rodeo) was marked 43 points for bucking off Alecio Ferreira da Costa (Bom Conselho, Brazil) in the opening round to win the Bull of the Event title.
