FORT WORTH, Texas – At the forty-first iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase inside the iconic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, Dawson Branton (Jefferson, Oregon) went a perfect 2-for-2 to win the event buckle.

The Carolina Cowboys Reserve Rider began his evening by covering Warren’s Hurricane (Damn Skippy Ranch & Partners) for 85 points, tying for second in the round.

Locking in, Branton then rocketed out of the chutes atop Pearl Snap (Blue Ridge/Risen Cattle Co) for an event-high 88.5 points to top the leaderboard.

The Jefferson, Oregon, native’s first Touring Pro Division victory since 2021 netted him a critical 58.5 Velocity Global points.

In second place was Missouri Thunder Reserve Rider Paulo Eduardo Rosseto (Colorado, Brazil).

The Brazilian made the 8 aboard Elkins 0486 (Philip Elkins) for 85 points to tie Branton for second place entering the final round.

In search of his first PBR event win on American soil, Rosseto thundered out of the gate on Play Time (Blue Ridge/Risen Cattle Co.) and converted for 85.5 points, leaving him just three points shy of the No. 1 spot.

His first Top-5 finish of the season garnered Rosseto 45.5 Velocity Global points.

Marco Antonio Rizzo (Quitman, Georgia) took the last podium spot, finishing third.

After cracking the Top 10 by riding Bad Moon Rising (Jenkins Cattle Co) for 81 points in Round 1, Rizzo completed a perfect evening by topping Krampus (Blue Ridge Bucking Bulls/M&B) for 85 points in the final round.

The bronze finish earned the cowboy a crucial 31 Velocity Global points.

Fourth place belonged to Adilson Junior (Salto de Pirapora, Brazil).

Winning Round 1 with an 87.5-point trip on Pogo (JD Nix Rodeo Co), Junior was unable to compete in the second round and finished 1-for-1.

The Brazilian left Cowtown Coliseum with 23 Velocity Global points.

Rounding out the Top 5 was Marco Ortiz (Mexico City, Mexico).

In front of a roaring Cowtown Coliseum crowd, the Mexican cowboy rode Elkins 601 (Philip Elkins) for 84.5 points in Round 1.

Looking for his first PBR event win, Ortiz shot out of the gate on Freight Train (Blue Ridge Bucking Bulls/M&B) but was bucked off in a thrilling 3.52 seconds.

The fifth-place performance earned Ortiz 16 Velocity Global points.

In the bull pen, Elkins 800 (Philip Elkins) and Elkins 737 (Philip Elkins) were both marked 44.5 points by bucking off Hunter Ball (Carsonville, Michigan) in 1.23 seconds and Leandro Zampollo (Pirassununga, Brazil) in 2.21 seconds, respectively, in Round 1 to split the Bull of the Event title.
