FORT WORTH, Texas – At the thirty-ninth iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase inside the iconic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, Davi Henrique de Lima (Candido Mota, Brazil) went a perfect 2-for-2 to win Thursday evening for the second consecutive week.

The Arizona Ridge Riders Reserve Rider rocketed out of the chutes atop Smooth Rumbull (Shuler Bucking Bulls) for a round-winning, event-high 87 points in the opening round.

Staying hot, Lima remained flawless by riding CMSR 506 (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) for 83 points in Round 2 to remain atop the leaderboard.

The Brazilian netted 59 Velocity Global points for his second event win of the young season.

Lorenzo Lopez was the only other rider to go a perfect 2-for-2, finishing second.

Finishing fifth in Round 1 after covering Elkins 093 (Philip Elkins) for 78.5 points, Lopez knew he had to lock in to make up ground.

In the final round, the cowboy sat tall atop CMSR 81 (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) for a round-winning 85 points, sliding into second place.

Lopez left Cowtown Coliseum with a crucial 45 Velocity Global points.

Third place belonged to Nicolas Hernandez (Telford, Pennsylvania), who went 1-for-2.

The Pennsylvanian finished second in Round 1 after making the 8 on Bangarang (Shuler Bucking Bulls) for 86 points, but he was bucked off Here To Party (Stockyards/Pritchett Ranch/Melton Bull Co) in 2.28 seconds in search of his first win of the season.

Hernandez returned home with 23 Velocity Global points after his podium finish.

The Missouri Thunder’s Marcelo Procopio Pereira (Rinopolis, Brazil) finished in fourth place.

The veteran got off to a strong start, riding Raven (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Pronghorn Well Service) for 82.5 points in Round 1.

Sitting in third entering the final round, the Brazilian cowboy thundered out of the gate on CMSR 718 (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) but was unseated after 5.38 seconds.

Pereira garnered 19 points courtesy of his 1-for-2 performance on Thursday night.

The final rider to make the 8 was Alex Junior da Silva (Bom Jesus da Penha, Brazil). 

The Brazilian earned 16 Velocity Global points for his fifth-place finish, going 1-for-2, riding Shuler B929 (Shuler Bucking Bulls) for 82 points in the opening round.

The rankest bull of the evening was CMSR 813 (Stockyards Pro Rodeo), who was marked 45 points for unseating Colby Jones (Winnie, Texas) in 4.36 seconds in Round 1, earning the powerful animal athlete the Bull of the Event title.
