FORT WORTH, Texas – At the thirty-fifth iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase inside the iconic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, Lorenzo Lopez went a perfect 2-for-2 to win the event inside Cowtown Coliseum.

Lopez got off to a strong start, finishing tied for second after Round 1 courtesy of an 83-point ride on Eyes On Me (JD Nix Rodeo Co.)

Staying locked in, the young cowboy rocketed out of the gate atop Boo Ray (D&H Cattle Company) in the final round and made the horn for 84.5 points to catapult to the top of the leaderboard.

Lopez’s second Stockyard Showcase victory earned him 58.5 points which put him atop the early Touring Pro Division standings.

In second was Tyce Willis (Alvord, Texas), who went 1-for-2.

The native Texan got off to a hot start, winning the first round by topping Pac Man (JD Nix Rodeo Co) for 84.5 points.

Looking to hold onto the top spot on the leaderboard, Willis shot out of the chutes on Wound Up (Melton Bull Co) in Round 2 but lost the rope after a thrilling 4.29 seconds.

Willis returned home with a crucial 36 Touring Pro Division points.

Marcos Gloria (Central de Minas, Brazil) closed out the podium.

The Brazilian was tied with Lopez in second after an 83-point performance on Nix 1170 (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) but he was unable to make the horn in the final round to seize the event buckle.

Gloria’s 1-for-2 performance earned him 22.5 points.

Veteran Leonardo Lima (Vale do Paraiso, Brazil) rounded out the evening’s qualified rides.

After being bucked off by Modified Ride (JD Nix Rodeo Co) in 1.96 seconds in the opening round, the resilient cowboy bounced back, covering Armageddon (Winston/Melton/Stockyards Pro Rodeo) for 82.5 points in the final round to get on the leaderboard.

Lima left Cowtown Coliseum with 20 Touring Pro Division points.

Domino (D&H Cattle Co/Buck Cattle Co) led a dominant bull pen and was marked an impressive 45.5 points after bucking off Paulo Roberto in just 1.45 seconds to win the Bull of the Event title.
