ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the 26th time in history, the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) premier Unleash The Beast tour will buck into St. Louis, holding the PBR St. Louis on Dec. 2-3 at Enterprise Center.

For two days only, more than 30 of the best bull riders in the world will go head-to-head against the sport’s rankest bovine athletes, showcasing the ultimate showdown of man vs. beast in one of the most exciting live sporting events to witness.

The upcoming PBR St. Louis will be just the second event of the new individual season as riders vie for early points in the race to be crowned the 2024 PBR World Champion.

When the PBR last traveled to the Gateway to the West in December 2023, 2016 World Champion Cooper Davis (Jasper, Texas) delivered a flawless 3-for-3 effort, including what was then the highest-marked ride of the season, to win the tour stop and vault to the No. 1 position in the early gold buckle race.

As one of three riders to cover all his draws, Davis clinched the victory when he architected a showdown of titans for the championship round, teaming with 2021 YETI World Champion Bull Woopaa (Barker Bulls/Hookin’ W Ranch) for a mammoth 91.75 points.

The victory marked Davis’ 12th career Unleash The Beast event win and first since topping the field in Jacksonville, Florida, in May 2021. He earned a crucial 142 Unleash The Beast points, propelling from No. 6 to No. 1 in the standings, rising 56.5 points ahead of then-No. 2 Brady Oleson (Blackfoot, Idaho).

While Davis remained a World Champion contender for the remainder of the season, winning an additional event later in the season in Billings, Montana, he narrowly missed earning his second gold buckle, concluding the individual season ranked No. 9 in the standings.

Historically, more than half (14 of 25) of the PBR’s past events in St. Louis have been won by World Champions. Daylon Swearingen (Piffard, New York) accomplished the feat in 2022, while now two-time PBR World Champion Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) earned the St. Louis event win en route to his first title in 2020.

A complete list of past World Champion event winners in St. Louis includes three-time PBR World Champion Adriano Moraes (1997, 1998, 2004), two-time PBR World Champion Chris Shivers (2000, 2001), two-time PBR World Champion Justin McBride (2003, 2005), 2010 PBR World Champion Renato Nunes (2008), 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (2011) and 2018 PBR World Champion Kaique Pacheco (2015, 2017).

The remaining PBR St. Louis Invitational event winners are Charles Litchfield (1999), Gary Richard (2002), Dustin Hall (2006), Matt Bohon (2007), Wiley Petersen (2009), Jody Newberry (2010), Fabiano Vieira (2013), Joao Ricardo Vieira (2014), Shane Proctor (2016), Tanner Byrne (2018) and Chase Outlaw (2019).

The bull riding action for the PBR St. Louis begins with Round 1 at 6:45 p.m. CT on Saturday, December 2, followed by Round 2 and the championship round at 1:45 p.m. CT on Sunday, December 3. All competing bull riders will get on one bull each in Rounds 1-2. Following Round 2 Sunday afternoon, the riders’ two-round scores will be totaled, with the Top 12 advancing to the championship round for one more out and a chance at the event title.

Tickets for the two-day event go on sale Monday, August 7 at 10:00 a.m. CDT and start at $15, taxes and fees not included. Tickets can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com, enterprisecenter.com and PBR.com, at the Enterprise Center Box Office, or by calling PBR customer service at 1-800-732-1727.
