RIDIN’ DOWN HISTORY –
Three-time PBR World Champion Silvano Alves is starting to find his groove for the Nashville Stampede, recording four rides in his last seven outs. Riding as the Stampede’s anchor, Alves currently has 489 career rides, just 11 rides short of becoming the fourth rider in PBR history to record 500 rides on the premier series or PBR Teams, trailing only Guilherme Marchi (635), J.B. Mauney (538) and Mike Lee (525). He is not the only rider approaching an impressive milestone, however, as the Texas Rattlers’ Joao Ricardo Vieira sits at 395 rides entering Austin. The 39-year-old Vieira has had a stellar start to the season, currently sitting at No. 4 in the MVP race, just 181.25 points behind Jose Vitor Leme. Alves and the Stampede take on the Oklahoma Freedom on Friday, while Vieira’s Rattlers face off with the Carolina Cowboys to kick off Gambler Days.
