FORT WORTH, Texas – At the sixteenth iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase, part of the Challenger Series, Alisson de Souza (Taubate, Brazil) was dominant, going a perfect 2-for-2 to claim the event victory.

Souza first put points on the board when he made a business decision in Round 1, declining a re-ride after earning a 74-point ride atop Elkins 037 (Philip Elkins).

Seventh on the event leaderboard ahead of the second round, Souza next drew Bison (JD Bix Rodeo Co.). In a perfect pairing, the Brazilian matched the powerful animal athlete jump-for-jump en route to an event-best 87-point score to cement his victory.

Courtesy of the win, Souza netted a crucial 47 Challenger Series points.

Souza’s twin brother Alan de Souza (Taubate, Brazil), alongside Trace Brown (Stephenville, Texas), tied for second, each netting 29.5 Challenger Series points.

Alan de Souza and Brown tied for the Round 1 win as each rider made the requisite 8 for 86 points. Souza covered S5-607 (4L & Diamond S Rodeo Company), while Brown conquered Big Chew (Dakota Rodeo/Troy Bradshaw).

Both were denied the win in Round 2 when they were tossed before the whistle as Moon Walk (H20 Bucking Bulls/Flying W/Nix) upended Souza in 2.44 seconds, and CMSR 00 (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) got the better of Brown in 1.47 seconds.

Braidy Randolph (Jonestown, Pennsylvania), who competes for the Texas Rattlers in the separate PBR Team Series, was fourth.

After bucking off S5-856 (4L & Diamond S Rodeo Company) in 2.57 seconds, a resilient Randolph was quick to rebound in Round 2.

Tasked with CMSR 724 (Stockyards Pro Rodeo), Randolph delivered a qualified ride for 85.5 points.

The Pennsylvania native left the iconic Cowtown Coliseum having earned 20 Challenger Series points.

Fellow Team Series riders Daniel Keeping (Montague, Texas), Davi Henrique de Lima (Candido Mota, Brazil), Cort McFadden (Novice, Texas), and Guilherme Valleiras (Pirassununga, Brazil) also logged Top 10 finishes.

The Rattlers’ Keeping was sixth via his 83-point ride atop CMSR 904 (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) in Round 2, netting 16 Challenger Series points.

Part of the Arizona Ridge Riders’ reserve roster, Lima rode to a seventh-place result at the Stockyards Showcase after he rode Lawless Frontier (4L & Diamond S Rodeo Company) for 82 points in Round 1. Lima’s Top 10 result earned him 14 Challenger Series points.

A first-year member for the Austin Gamblers on the team’s reserve roster, McFadden garnered 12 Challenger Series points for his eighth-place finish, which was headlined by an 81.5-point ride on Big N Chunky (Dakota Rodeo/Troy Bradshaw) in the opening round.

Valleiras, who also represents the Ridge Riders’ reserve roster, completed the contingent in ninth. He netted 10 Challenger Series points for his 81-point ride on Riot Control (Dakota Rodeo/Troy Bradshaw) in Round 1.

Returning to the top of the event leaderboard and rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was Australian sensation Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia).

Fielder rode Jammer (Dakota Rodeo/Troy Bradshaw) for 85 points in Round 1, good for 17 Challenger Series points.
