#InCaseYouMissedIt: Frost claims Velocity Tour title and World Finals berth

Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

By Darci Miller

All that’s left on the calendar is the 2023 PBR World Finals on May 12-21 in Fort Worth, Texas. But this past weekend, the 2023 Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals witnessed riders fight to the finish in a final attempt to qualify. Josh Frost lived up to the family name, Canadian Nick Tetz showed up and showed out, and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

At the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals…

Josh Frost entered the 2023 Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals in the No. 1 spot in the standings. Thanks to a sixth-place finish in Corpus Christi, Frost hung on to win the Velocity Tour title and a berth at the PBR World Finals.

Frost will head into Fort Worth with momentum on his side. He’ll be joined by fellow Velocity Finals qualifiers Joao Lucas Campos, Claudio Montanha Jr., Nick Tetz, and Dawson Branton.

Tetz, the reigning PBR Canada Champion, arrived in Corpus Christi eager to seize the opportunity to get to the World Finals.

It was also a big weekend for Rafael Jose de Brito, No. 9 in the Unleash The Beast standings, who won Round 1.
