MEMPHIS, Tenn. – As the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s (PWVT) returned to Memphis, Tennessee, for the fifth time in history Saturday night, Mason Moody (Letcher, South Dakota) was unstoppable - securing the second PWVT event win of his career just one week after his career first win in Palm Springs, California.

In Round 1 of the night, Moody was paired with Doze You Down (Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC), firing out of the chutes for an impressive 91 points, marking the highest ride score of the night.

As the extraordinary animal athletes of the PBR showcased their supreme agility throughout the championship round, the 19-year-old South Dakota cowboy was no match against Switch (Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC).

For his 1-for-2 night, Moody netted 109 Velocity Global points.

Carlos Garcia (Abingdon, Virginia) was hot on Moody’s heels on Saturday night, capturing second place overall.

Garcia was paired with Marty (Bar Seven Bucking Bulls) in Round 1, collecting 85 points for his qualified ride. 

He then set his sights on the championship round where, to the Tennessee crowd’s dismay, Hunted Down (Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC) dispatched Garcia after 6.84 seconds.

Garcia collected 68 Velocity Global points for his 1-for-2 effort.

With a determined look, Dakota Warnken (Wakarusa, Indiana) conquered his Round 1 matchup against Earl The Pearl (Bar Seven / Cattlax), tunring in a 72-point ride to round out the Top 3 for the night in Memphis.

The 26-year-old then hoped to seek redemption in the championship round aboard My Bad (K-C Bucking Bulls), however the powerful bovine athlete flung him to the dirt after a mere 2.58 seconds.

Warnken earned 45 Velocity Global points for his third-place finish.

The talented bull riders of the PWVT will next head to Worcester, Massecusets for the Worcester Rumble at DCU Center and Hampton, Virginia for the Hampton Classic at Hampton Coliseum on Feb. 25.
