Ridge Riders get back in the win column with one-ride victory over Outlaws Saturday

Aparecido, Castro lead Ridge Riders (5-4) to 175.75-87 win against Kansas City (3-6).

NASHVILLE – The Nashville Stampede punctuated the second day of their first-ever homestand in Music City with an exhilarating walk-off win against the Ariat Texas Rattlers compliments of a crucial score in the bottom of the fifth from the team’s latest signee, and three-time PBR (Professional Bull Riders) World Champion, Silvano Alves.

As the final game of the evening, the Nashville Stampede and Ariat Texas Rattlers were scoreless through the first four frames. After the Rattlers’ Braidy Randolph was brought down short of the whistle, the fate of the game rested in Alves’ hands, the last man left who could break the 0-0 tie.

Alves, who joined the team just days prior, answered the call for the Stampede, delivering a game-winning, 85.25-point score to earn the win for the Justin McBride-coached outfit. The Nashville Stampede are now the first team in PBR Team Series history to win in their hometown.

Earlier in the event, the Austin Gamblers remained red-hot, earning their fifth-consecutive win when they defeated the Carolina Cowboys. The Austin Gamblers will enter Sunday as the only team with a perfect 2-0 record at Stampede Days.

The Missouri Thunder rebounded from their Friday night loss, defeating the Oklahoma Freedom courtesy of a clutch decision by Co-Head Coach Ross Coleman to decline a re-ride opportunity.

In the third game of the night, the Arizona Ridge Riders snapped a three-game losing streak, taking down the Kansas City Outlaws by one ride score.

PBR Stampede Days concludes Sunday, August 21 at 12:15 p.m. CT. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com and PBR.com, at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office, or by calling PBR customer service at 1-800-732-1727.

Arizona Ridge Riders: 175.75

Kansas City Outlaws: 87

Mired in a three-game loss streak, the Arizona Ridge Riders recaptured their winning ways Saturday evening in Nashville, beating the Kansas City Outlaws by one ride score on the second day of competition for PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stampede Days.

After neither team reached the 8 during their first outs, the second frame featured game-changing efforts. While Rafael Henrique dos Santos (Sebastianopolis, Brazil) was first to strike, briefly giving the Outlaws an 87-point lead via his score atop Sundance (Tex Brothers Ranch/5S Bucking Bulls), the Ridge Riders wouldn’t trail for long.

Eduardo Aparecido (Gouvelandia, Brazil) quickly put the Ridge Riders atop the leaderboard in the very next out, giving his team a 1.75-point lead as he covered Tested’s Viper (Hookin’ W/LeFlore Bucking Bulls) for 88.75 points.

The scoreboard then remained unchanged through the third and fourth. At the top of the fifth, Outlaws’ Koltin Hevalow (Smithville, Missouri) was in a must-ride position.

The young gun, however, failed to deliver, bucked off by War Dress (Jane Clark/Gene Owen) in an ever-close 6.19 seconds. With the game win clinched, the Ridge Riders punctuated the victory with an 87-point score from first-round draft pick Luciano de Castro (Guzolandia, Brazil) atop Homeboy (K-C Bucking Bulls/Joe & Nina Webb).

When the dust settled, the Ridge Riders earned their team’s fifth victory, 175.75-87 against the Outlaws.

When PBR Stampede Days concludes Sunday afternoon, the Arizona Ridge Riders (5-4) will take on the Oklahoma Freedom (3-6), while the Kansas City Outlaws (3-6) will attempt to shake-off the loss when they play the host Nashville Stampede (3-6).
