The PBR Team Series is bull riding like you’ve never seen it before, and fans in Kansas City were treated to a rank time this weekend at Outlaw Days. The hometown Kansas City Outlaws took on the Missouri Thunder in a good old-fashioned shootout in the battle for Missouri, the Ariat Texas Rattlers had their breakout moment, and the Arizona Ridge Riders? Well, they showed everyone who was boss. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

On the PBR Team Series…

KANSAS CITY, DAY 1

The Ridge Riders kicked off the weekend with a defeat of the Outlaws despite a heroic effort from Kansas City’s Marcus Mast.

The Ridge Riders have been led by Alisson de Souza in the leadoff role, and Souza credits his success to his “power drink” – milkshakes.

The Carolina Cowboys kept up their strong start to the season, shutting out the Austin Gamblers.

The Cowboys are walking around with championship swagger – on the dirt and on the pickleball court.

The Oklahoma Freedom earned their first win thanks to captain Eli Vastbinder’s walk-off ride against the previously undefeated Missouri Thunder.

It was a close one between the Nashville Stampede and Ariat Texas Rattlers, with the Stampede prevailing by one ride.

KANSAS CITY, DAY 2

Kansas City Outlaws head coach J.W. Hart was thrilled with the support the team got from the hometown crowd.

Saturday was a big one for the Rattlers, as they broke out with three rides to defeat the Cowboys and earn their first game win of the season.

The Rattlers won thanks to a key ride from 2002 World Champion Ednei Caminhas, who head coach Cody Lambert admits he didn’t think would be on the team.

The Thunder defeated the Gamblers thanks to a walk-off ride from first-round draft pick Colten Fritzlan.

Thunder co-head coaches Luke Snyder and Ross Coleman put Fritzlan in the closer role for the squad, and he’s been thriving under the pressure.

The Ridge Riders knocked off the Freedom in their second game of the weekend to improve to 2-0.

The Outlaws and Stampede battled to an 0-0 tie as the bulls dominated and both squads recorded losses.

KANSAS CITY, DAY 3

On Sunday, it was all about the Ridge Riders. Arizona rode 80% of its bulls against the Nashville Stampede, going 3-0 in gameplay to earn the event win and move to No. 1 in the early-season standings.

The Stampede, though, head home to Nashville for Stampede Days in two weeks, and look forward to having their fans cheering them on.

Sunday was also the highly anticipated battle for Missouri, with the Outlaws taking on the Thunder. The teams went blow-for-blow, but ultimately the Thunder emerged victorious.

Meanwhile, the Rattlers and the Gamblers faced off in the battle for Texas. Thanks to a late surge, the Gamblers came out on top.

In another back-and-forth brawl, the Cowboys and the Freedom went toe-to-toe in a clash that ultimately went in favor of the Cowboys.

The shutout loss on Saturday was demoralizing, said Cowboys head coach Jerome Davis, but the bounce-back is what counts.

The PBR Team Series heads to Anaheim, California, on Aug. 12-13 for the second and final neutral-site event of the season (Aug. 12 at 10:45 p.m. ET and Aug. 13 at 9:45 p.m. ET on RidePass on Pluto TV; Aug. 14 at 1:30 p.m. ET on CBS).

The Challenger Series rolls on into Goliad, Texas, with the Goliad PBR on Aug. 13, and in Fort Worth, Texas, for PBR Sunday at Cowtown on Aug. 14 (3 p.m. ET on RidePass on Pluto TV).
