KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Ahead of the first-ever Outlaw Days, the three-day homestand for the city’s first-ever professional bull riding team, the Kansas City Outlaws, on Aug. 5-7, the organization today announced a free-to-attend, family-friendly street festival to be held on Saturday, Aug 6.

The Outlaw Days Street Festival will take over Grand Boulevard from East 14th Street to East 13th Street beginning at 12 p.m. CDT on Aug. 6. In addition to featuring local food trucks and vendors, a kid’s zone and line dancing lessons, the Outlaw Days Street Festival will embrace “the outlaw mentality” with a host of local performers, a motorcycle show and beer for purchase.

The roaming performers for the Outlaw Days Street Festival include trick roper Rudy Uresti, power couple musicians Team Ragoza, magicians Yani and Joe “The Mystical Misfits,” world-class fiddle player Derek Pell and local dance company Empire Dance Academy.

More on the Outlaw Days Street Festival performers:

  • Uresti is a multi-talented performer who has entertained thousands working for amusement parks, circuses, dinner shows and more. He has traveled the world acting, while also an accomplished cirque performer, juggler, fire breather, magician and trick roper.
  • Team Ragoza consists of a married power couple who have professionally worked their entire lives as artists/musicians. He is an award-winning mixer, producer and DJ, while she is an accomplished guitarist, formerly the lead guitarist in the Michael Jackson Cirque de Soleil show. Combining their talents, Team Ragoza are the first ever husband and wife turntablist/guitarist duo of their class. Formed in 2020, they have released exclusive content including mixes, live sets, mash ups and more, continuing to advance their unique concept.
  • “The Mystical Misfits’,” Yani and Joe are a husband-and-wife mentalist act who have toured around the globe, delighting the masses with tarot readings and close-up magic.
  • Pell is one of the most sought-after fiddle players in Nashville. With a style that blends boot-stomping bluegrass and classical, his song repertoire spans hundreds of tracks, making him a fan-favorite amongst all audiences.
  • Empire Dance Academy prides itself upon inspiring its dancers and fostering creativity. The Kansas City-based dance company is the most sought after in the city, and features dancers trained in a variety of styles including hip hop, jazz, musical theatre and more.

The Outlaw Days Street Festival’s motorcycle show will feature bikes from Kansas City’s Outlaw Harley Davidson. The beer offerings will be accompanied by a taping of The PodCask, a top-rated food and beverage podcast about whiskey and the culture surrounding it.

Festival goers will also have the chance to dine at some of Kansas City’s top food trucks, including the family-owned and operated 2Hot2Handle BBQ KC and Tropical Treats.

Additionally, the Outlaws have announced post-event, free-to-attend concerts to be held nightly from Aug. 5-7 at KC Live! in the Power & Light District. DJ Brian Dawe will perform beginning at 10:00 p.m. CT on Friday, Aug. 5 and Saturday, Aug. 6, while Lit will perform Sunday, August 7 starting at 2:30 p.m. CT. Guests must be 21+ to enter KC Live! after 9 p.m.

  • Dawe has played massive festivals, nightclubs, stadiums, arenas and major stages covering almost all of America, and has international residences traversing from Canada to China. After appearing with Rhianna on her “Last Girl On Earth” tour, Dawe jumped straight to the screen as a cast member on VH1’s television show “Master of the Mix”. Brian performs alongside the biggest names in entertainment with a rigorous and constant touring schedule as he continuously collaborates with major recording artists, creates music, produces and entertains.
  • Lit is considered one of the preeminent bands to have come out of the post-grunge era of the late 90's and helped define an entire generation of SoCal power punk with hard-charging hits like “My Own Worst Enemy,” “Miserable," "Zip-Lock," and "Lipstick & Bruises." The band has released 6 worldwide studio albums, including their RIAA Certified Platinum A Place in the Sun, and they are currently writing and recording to release new material.

These musical acts joined the already announced Outlaw Days Concert on Aug. 6. The Outlaw Days Concert will begin on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 1:30 p.m. David Nail will first take the stage, followed by David Lee Murphy at 3:00 p.m. and Josh Abbott Band at 4:45 p.m.

Tickets for the Outlaw Days Concert are on sale now and can be purchased at AXS.com. General Admission tickets are available for $20, and VIP Packages start at $50.

During the regular season, the founding teams will compete in five-on-five games, with a 10-event regular season leading into a national championship that will be decided in a double-elimination playoff tournament in November in Las Vegas.
