Television schedule set for inaugural PBR Team Series season

Every game of 11-event season to be available to fans on the CBS Television Network, Paramount+, CBS Sports Network or Pluto TV.

By Andrew Giangola

PUEBLO, Colo. – PBR (Professional Bull Riders) today announced the full television schedule for the inaugural PBR Team Series, an elite new league featuring the world’s top bull riders competing on teams in five-on-five bull riding games. The 11-event season begins in July and culminates in a team championship in November.

The CBS Television Network, Paramount+, CBS Sports Network or Pluto TV will carry all 112 games in the 2022 Teams regular season, as well as the three-day playoff and championship event November 4-6 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Highlighting the schedule each weekend is the “Game of the Week,” which will either be carried by the CBS Television Network and streamed on Paramount+ or televised on CBS Sports Network.

In the league’s inaugural season, RidePass on Pluto TV will carry 60 bull riding games LIVE, totaling an estimated 35 hours of live Team Series coverage on the world’s leading free ad-supported television service. CBS Sports Network will carry 50 games, totaling an estimated 32 hours of coverage.

In the PBR Team Series, each of the eight founding teams will host a three-day homestand. There are also two neutral-site events: in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at Cheyenne Frontier Days on July 25 to launch the new league, and in Anaheim, California, for the second neutral-site two-day event in mid-August.

“The 2022 PBR Team Series schedule is the most accessible and consistent in our sport’s 29-year history, offering the most live events,” said PBR CEO and Commissioner Sean Gleason. “With the strong support of our broadcast partners, for the first time in PBR history, fans everywhere will be able to see every single ride from the season’s first out to the crowning of the championship team.”
