LINCOLN, Neb. – For the third time in history, the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) will buck into Lincoln, Nebraska, again welcoming fans to Pinnacle Bank Arena on October 8 for the Challenger Series’ PBR Lincoln Invitational.

For one night only, some of the best bull riders in the world will battle the sport’s rankest bovine athletes in the ultimate showdown of man vs. beast in a new series showcasing one of the most exciting live sporting events to witness.

The newly launched PBR Challenger Series will hold more than 60 events from May-November, culminating with its Championship in early November in Las Vegas. The PBR Challenger Series is a proving ground in providing additional competitive opportunities for bull riders who are both affiliated and unaffiliated with a PBR Team Series team.

Throughout the season, each of the eight PBR Team Series teams will have the opportunity to place team protected roster or practice riders into every Challenger Series event.  In addition, affiliated team riders who are not designated by their team to compete may enter PBR Challenger Series events, along with unaffiliated PBR Teams riders.

In 2021, Lincoln welcomed the elite Unleash The Beast for the final regular-season event prior to the PBR World Finals. Compliments of a flawless 3-for-3 showing, Boudreaux Campbell (Crockett, Texas) won the tour stop to crack the Top 5 in the world standings.

Campbell clinched the victory compliments of a monstrous 91-point ride atop Bubba G (Dakota Rodeo/Brian & Ashley Pintar/Clay Struve/Chad Berger) in the championship round.

When the PBR debuted in Lincoln in 2020, Cooper Davis (Jasper, Texas) rode his way to the winner’s circle compliments of a walk-off, 90-point ride.

The stoic Texan began the first-ever elite tour stop in Lincoln with a bang, winning Round 1 courtesy of an 89-point trip aboard Cold Chill (D&H Cattle Co./Futrell), followed by an 88.25-point effort atop Wicked Hou (Hart Cattle Co./Hale/Randy Wood) in Round 2.

He then selected 2018 ABBI (American Bucking Bull Inc.) Classic Champion Hocus Pocus (D&H Cattle/Almand/Lone Star/Outlaw) for his final opponent, matching the powerful bovine athlete jump-for-jump en route to a commanding 92.25-point score.

The perfect 3-for-3 performance earned Davis a critical 130 world points, elevating him from No. 9 to No. 8 in the world. Davis concluded the year with his sixth consecutive qualification to the PBR World Finals, finishing the year ranked No. 3 in the world.

The bull riding action for the PBR Challenger Series’ Lincoln Invitational begins at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday, October 8.

On Saturday evening, all 40 competing riders will attempt one bull each in Round 1. Following the opening round, the Top 15 will then advance to the championship round where they will attempt one final bull, all in an effort to be crowned the event champion.

Tickets for the one-day event go on sale Monday, June 27 at 10 a.m. CT, and start at $15, taxes and fees not included. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com and PBR.com, at the Pinnacle Bank Arena Ticket Office is open on Tuesdays from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., or by calling PBR customer service at 1-800-732-1727.

PBR Elite Seats are available for avid fans who want an exclusive VIP experience while enjoying the world’s top bull riding circuit. These tickets, available for $185, offer the best seats in the venue, a question-and-answer presentation with some of the top bull riders and stock contractors in the world, a $10 concession voucher, a souvenir credential and lanyard, and a post-event photo opportunity from the dirt.
