NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Ahead of the 2022 season for the groundbreaking PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Team Series, Tennessee’s first-ever professional bull riding team, the Nashville Stampede, have announced their inaugural game schedule. The Nashville Stampede’s 28-game 2022 PBR Team Series regular-season schedule is headlined by three appearances on the CBS Game of the Week, as well as showdowns with the Carolina Cowboys, Texas Rattlers and Kansas City Outlaws at the team’s first-ever home event, Stampede Days, Aug. 19-21 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
The PBR Team Series revolutionizes the sport of bull riding, transforming an individual sport into one in which riders join teams to compete in five-on-five bull riding games for a national championship. In the inaugural 2022 season, eight founding teams will compete: the Arizona Ridge Riders, Austin Gamblers, Carolina Cowboys, Kansas City Outlaws, Missouri Thunder, Oklahoma Freedom, Texas Rattlers, and Music City’s own Nashville Stampede.
Throughout the regular season, each team will compete in 28 head-to-head, five-on-five bull riding games¸ held across 10 events. The team with the highest aggregate score will be the game winner, and ties will be allowed.
Each team will host a three-day homestand, welcoming the seven other teams, while also competing in two neutral-site events, beginning with the season-launch event on July 25-26 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The season will conclude in Las Vegas on Nov. 4-6 when the teams will go head-to-head in the PBR Team Series Championship, vying to be crowned the Team Series Champions.
When the 2022 season gets underway July 25-26 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the Nashville Stampede will compete against the Carolina Cowboys and Missouri Thunder.
During the preseason, the Stampede posted a 2-2 record, including wins against the Austin Gamblers and Carolina Cowboys in Bismarck, North Dakota, and Tryon, North Carolina.
Following the event in Cheyenne, the PBR Team Series will hold events in Kansas City, Missouri, and Anaheim, California, before the Stampede host their inaugural homestand Aug. 19-21 in Nashville, Tennessee, at Bridgestone Arena, the fourth event of the 2022 PBR Team Series season.
During their first-ever home event, the Stampede will play the Carolina Cowboys on Aug. 19, Texas Rattlers on Aug. 20, and the Kansas City Outlaws on Aug. 21.
