Shane Proctor returns to the PBR to compete with Team Captain Cody Nance at the Monster Energy Team Challenge.

PUEBLO, Colo. – With two weekends of competition in the books, the PBR Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by U.S. Border Patrol, has already changed the face of Western sports.
Each of the 12 competing teams is comprised of three active riders, one of whom is the Captain, an alternate, and a supervisory General Manager.
With Division A completed, Division B will compete the weekends of June 19-21 and June 26-28. Each night of televised action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, will feature three games, with each team competing once per night at the Pendleton Whisky Let ‘Er Buck Saloon at South Point Arena.
Each game will be comprised of 12 collective outs, with each team attempting six bulls. In each game, three riders per team, as selected by the General Manager, will attempt two bulls each. The winner of each game will be the team with the top combined aggregate score from their six outs.
With Division B competition on the horizon, PBR.com will be diving deeper into each roster.
Team South Point, led by general manager Colby Yates, features team captain 11-time PBR World Finals qualifier Cody Nance, No. 56 Boudreaux Campbell, 2011 PRCA bull riding champion Shane Proctor and Ty Wallace.

CODY NANCE
It’s been a long time since PBR fans have seen Cody Nance. At the 2019 PBR World Finals, Nance suffered nerve damage in his right shoulder, and he’s been on the sidelines ever since. The 11-time World Finals qualifier is back for the Monster Energy Team Challenge, though, and he will look to build on his significant resume of team experience at the Global Cup. Nance has competed for the Team USA Eagles three times – in Edmonton in 2017, Sydney in 2018 and Arlington in 2019 – and is 3-for-7 all time.
Nance finished 2019 ranked No. 25 in the world standings with five Top-10 finishes on the Unleash The Beast.
Campbell, a three-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier, decided in 2020 to make the leap to compete in the PBR full time. He’s competed primarily on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour with a top finish of second place at the Denver PBR Chute Out at the National Western Stock Show in January. He made his premier series debut at the Las Vegas Invitational in April, going 0-for-3, and is ranked No. 56 in the world.
Campbell also made his Global Cup debut in 2020, going 0-for-2 for the championship-winning Team USA Eagles.
Proctor is considered one of the best bull riders ever to compete in the PBR and the PRCA at the same time, though he hasn’t been seen on the premier series since the season-opening event in 2018, when he stepped away to focus on his rodeo career. He made his premier series debut in 2006, won $1.3 million and qualified for the PBR World Finals nine times. All the while, he was phenomenally successful in the PRCA as well, winning the 2011 PRCA World Championship and qualifying for the NFR five times. Now 35 years old, Proctor is currently ranked No. 28 in the PRCA bull riding standings. This season, he’s won the bull riding at the 92nd Annual Arcadia All-Florida Championship Rodeo and is co-champion of the Brighton Field Days Festival Xtreme Bulls.
Wallace has only competed at four PBR-sanctioned events in his career, but he is a three-time NFR qualifier, doing so in 2014-15 and 2017. He finished 2017 No. 3 in the PRCA bull riding standings. The last two years of Wallace’s career have been plagued by injuries, though, as he suffered a broken right leg, broken ribs, a broken right arm and a broken right foot. Now, however, he’s finally healthy again, and in 2020 has won the Fort Mohave Classic Xtreme Bulls and the Los Fresnos Rodeo, and is currently ranked No. 15 in the PRCA standings.
