BANGOR, Maine – Competing in just the sixth event of his professional career, Eduardo de Oliveira (Nova Lacerda, Brazil) won Round 1 at the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Bangor Classic Friday night.

The Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT) stop in Bangor is the only three-day Velocity Tour event on the schedule this year.

Oliveira captured 50 points toward the PBR world standings when he made the whistle aboard Levi (Big Rafter Rodeo LLC.) earning a ride score of 88.5 points.

Alex Jenks (Vale, North Carolina) and Jake Lockwood (Volborg, Montana) tied for second place as each earned 17.5 points toward the world standings.

Jenks rode Bandit (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls), while Lockwood covered Hammer Down (Triple R Bull Co.), scored 87 points.

Rounding out the Top 5 was Cristiano Figueredo (Sapucaia do Norte, Brazil) and Ouncie Mitchell (Fresno, Texas) who tied for 5th with equal ride scores of 86.5 points.

Figeredo made the whistle aboard Shadow Recruit (Broken Arrow Bucking Bulls) while Mitchell covered Thunderstruck (Cornwell Bucking Bulls).

On the cold, frigid night in New England a total of 19 riders rode their first-round bulls inside the Cross Insurance Center.

Fans will be able to watch all the action from Bangor each night on RidePass.com or via the RidePass mobile app. Round 1 can be viewed beginning on Saturday at 8 a.m.
