By PBR

As we wrap up the 2018 season, we continue our look at some of the Women of the PBR that have helped make this an amazing year.

These ladies play a variety of important roles both in front of and behind the scenes.

Today we talk with Jilian Vieira, wife of Fabiano Vieira, about meeting Fabiano, family, and fashion.

Jilian 500 1

PBR.com: Hi Jilian, thanks for spending time with us today! Let’s start off with where you are from.

Jilian Vieira: Umuarama Paraná Brazil, but I grew up in Esperança Nova, where I got married. I only left there when I came here with Fabiano.

PBR.com: How did you meet Fabiano?

JV: I only knew of Fabiano by name. We were from neighboring cities, but I had not met him. And I knew him by name because he won Barretos in 2004 and was very famous in the region. Everyone spoke a lot of him, but I had never met him personally. It was Nov. 4. I was in his city, which is Perola, a neighboring city, and I was with some friends that I had in common with Fabiano. And Fabiano had just returned and we met him on the street and they introduced us, more or less. And then another time, I went to a rodeo with them in Altonia, and it was big, and I became passionate about rodeo. And Fabiano came to talk to friends and he is very funny. I said “you are not very funny” he looked at me very bland and said to me “One day I will steal a kiss from you.” I told him he was playing crazy to steal a kiss of mine. And it ended up that he stole a kiss and we started dating. Now we have been married 11 years.

PBR.com: What was your first impression of Fabiano?

JV: My first impression of Fabiano was that he is a very playful person, but behind the playful persona is a person who has a very big heart.

PBR.com: What was the first event you attended?

JV: I came here the first time in August of 2011. And the first event I attended with Fabiano was in Springfield, Missouri, in September 2011.

PBR.com: How were you introduced to the Western Sports World?

JV: I'm from a very small city. In Brazil, everyone practically farms and lives with a lot of cattle and horses. Although most people are small, most of them have power. I already had some knowledge of rodeo, but when I started dating Fabiano, I got a better understanding of the professional side of it.

PBR.com: What do you do for fun?

JV: I have a very busy week with the girls, going to school and swimming. But one of the things I try to do during the week is go to the gym at least a couple of times a week. I do English classes twice a week at night. I like to go to the mall and go shopping or do something at home.

PBR.com: What is your biggest goal?

JV: I am pharmaceutical biochemistry in Brazil and when I came here, I wanted to find something in the field of pharmacy or something related.

PBR.com: How does Fabiano support your endeavors?

JV: Fabiano is wonderful! He is an exemplary father and husband and he is a person that I can always count on to support me in everything I do. I take English two nights a week, and he stays home with the girls for me, and when I get home, he has already gotten them to sleep. He takes care of them with the love and affection he can. We always talk. I’m his support and he’s mine, and that is what builds up our family.

PBR.com: What do you see trending in the fashion industry right now?

JV: Fashion today is a pattern of trends that I think has a large number of influences right now. I think social media are the ones that most influence the trends and the choices of the day.

PBR.com: What is your favorite jewelry accessory?

JV: I have loved jewelry since I was a child, but nowadays I tend to stick more to necklaces and earrings.

PBR.com: How would you describe your style?

JV: I'm a person with a very strong personality. I want to be authentic, and I want to be happy in all things and in my personality. So in what I use, I try to be authentic and have my own identity in my choices.

PBR.com: How do you use accessories in your everyday wardrobe vs. what you wear to events?

JV: During the week, usually a small earring that Fabiano gave me as a gift. When I go to events, I wear jewelry sets like the Corel earring and bracelet or something matching the style of clothing that I will wear.

PBR.com: Do you have someone you look to in terms of their style?

JV: I would probably say no, but I follow social media and see things there. And I might see something else where that might be a fit for my style.

PBR.com: How did you select the pieces in your Montana Silversmiths collection?

JV: The pieces from Montana Silversmiths, it is a collection of wonderful jewelry. I love the color black because you can use several styles in various places and it fits perfectly into everything. I think my collection speaks to the genuine beauty of the woman. The collection works beautifully with everything, and I also think that my collection represents perfectly the South American woman.
