Des Moines, IowaCody Rodeo Tyler (Guthrie, Oklahoma) won the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour’s (RVT) Des Moines Invitational Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena after a perfect performance.

Tyler began the night riding Sucker Punch (C Check Bucking Bulls) for 81.5 points in Round 1, and then later covered Chicken George (Smith/Harper/Burruss) for 88 points in the championship round.

The victory gained the Oklahoma cowboy 120 points toward the world standings, a $6,200 paycheck and a spot at the Days of 47 Cowboy Games in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Komatsu Equipment Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo, presented by Zions Bank, on July 19-21 and July 23-24, will take place at the $17.5 million state-of-the-art Days of ’47 Arena at the Utah State Fair Park, custom designed and built for rodeo.

Eudimar Novais (Cerejeira, Brazil) secured a second-place finish after an impressive ride in the final round aboard Stumpy (Smith/Harper/Burruss) for 87.5 points. Earlier in the evening, during Round 1, the young Brazilian rode High Risk (C Check Bucking Bulls) for 81.5 points. For his efforts, Novais earned 70 points toward the world standings, and $4,500.

After bucking off of his Round 1 bull, Alisson Souza (Taubate, Sao Paulo, Brazil) covered Plum Crazy (Cornwell Bucking Bulls/Circle G) for 87 points in the championship round to finish third. Souza earned 40 world points and a $2,800 paycheck.

In a tie for fourth, Luke Bradley (Seligman, Missouri) and Zane Cook (Fort Gibson, Oklahoma) recorded identical 85-point rides, splitting the win in Round 1. Bradley covered Painted Diamond (Jenkins Cattle Co.), while Cook made the 8 aboard Domestic Disturbance (Cornwell Bucking Bulls). Despite bucking off of their bulls in the championship round, both riders take home 17.5 world points and $2,170.

The Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour will now head to Wichita, Kansas for the Wichita Classic on April 28 at INTRUST Bank Arena.
