Shane Proctor took the early lead after winning Round 1 of the DeWalt Flexvolt Invitational Friday night at the Ford Idaho Center.

By PBR

NAMPA, Idaho – Shane Proctor won Round 1 of the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) DeWalt Flexvolt Invitational after an 87.5-point ride on Blind Spot (J.A.R.S. Bucking Bulls/Owen) Friday night at the Ford Idaho Center.

It was Proctor’s first BFTS round win since his event-winning ride in Round 4 of the Iron Cowboy in Arlington, Texas, back in February. Proctor earned 100 world points for the round win and he remains at 10th place in the world standings.

Marco Eguchi finished in second in Round 1 and picked up an important 60 points toward the world standings. Eguchi rode Jericho (K&K Cattle Co.) early in Round 1 for 86.75 points Friday night. The points were enough to move Eguchi to 33rd in the world standings.

2008 World Champion Guilherme Marchi and Cooper Davis tied for third place Friday night in Idaho. Marchi rode Wolverine (Mann Creek Buck N Bulls) for 86 points while Davis turned in his own 86-point trip aboard Grandpa Joe (Dakota Rodeo/Berger/Scott) later in the night.

The pair both earned 45 points toward the world standings. Davis remains second in the world standings, 830.33 points behind current world leader Kaique Pacheco, while Marchi moved up to 14th in the world standings.

Chase Outlaw and Mason Lowe both rounded out the Top 5 with matching 85.75-point rides. Outlaw rode Smoke Wagon (Tyler Farris Buckin Bulls) earlier Friday night while Lowe answered later in the evening with his ride on Crazy Days (Dakota Rodeo/Berger/Struve).

Outlaw and Lowe both earned 22.5 points toward the world standings for their effort. Lowe currently sits in 19th place in the world standings while Outlaw holds the 34th spot.

The best of the PBR will return Saturday night for the conclusion of the DeWalt Flexvolt Invitational. The Top 35 bull riders in the world will each face one more bull in Round 2 before the Top 15 move on to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round where the winner will be crowned.

CBS Sports Network will broadcast Round 2 and the championship round on Sunday Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. ET.

Fans can also watch all of the action via the PBR LIVE app, available for download now on Google Play and iTunes. PBR LIVE is available at no charge to all fans and media. Visit www.PBR.com/live to view.

Nampa is the 24th stop on the 2016 BFTS schedule. The season will conclude at the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Nov. 2-6 at Las Vegas’ new T-Mobile Arena where the 2016 PBR World Champion, the bull rider who earns the most points during the 2016 season, will be crowned and receive the coveted World Championship belt buckle and a $1 million bonus.

The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network and networks around the world. BFTS telecasts are produced for the PBR under a multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy® Award winner and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as executive producer.
