CHARLOTTE, N.C. – PBR (Professional Bull Riders) leading rookie Kaique Pacheco won his third Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) event of the 2015 season by going 3-for-3 at the Express Employment Professionals Invitational inside Time Warner Cable Arena on Saturday night.
Pacheco was the only rider to go 3-for-3, including his 88.75-point effort on Sasquatch (BMC Bucking Bulls/Jeff Robinson) in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round, to earn 475 points toward the PBR world standings.
Ranked No. 3 in the world standings, Pacheco is now only 560 points behind world leader J.B. Mauney.
North Carolina native Gage Gay placed second in the event with 440 points – 200 of which came from winning Rounds 1 and 2. He earned his remaining 240 points by placing second in the event average with a total aggregate score of 176.25 points.
Canadian Tanner Byrne took third place in the event with 325 points toward the world standings and won the championship round with the high-marked ride of the event, 89.25 points on Percolator (Jeff Robinson Bucking Bulls).
Fabiano Vieira and Stormy Wing rounded out the Top 5 of the event with 170 world points and 110 world points, respectively.
With a bull score of 45.50 out of 50 points, Air Time (Jared Allen’s Pro Bull Team)  earned the Salem Nationalease High-marked Bull award in Charlotte after tossing Mauney in 4.57 seconds in the championship round.
CBS Television Network will broadcast the championship round Sunday, Sept. 20 beginning at 3 p.m. ET. Round 2 and the championship round will also air on CBS Sports Network Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.
