SEVENTH HEAVEN – The PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series stops in Springfield, Missouri, this weekend for the seventh consecutive year with the PFI Western Invitational presented by Bass Pro Shops and brought to you locally by Sonic. Competition takes place at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11; 7 p.m. pm Saturday, Sept. 12; and 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12; at the JQH Arena. 

UP NEXT – Charlotte, North Carolina, welcomes the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series back for the first time since 2011, as the Time Warner Cable Arena hosts the Express Employment Professionals Invitational Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19. 

PAST SPRINGFIELD EVENT WINNERS – Last year, Springfield-born rider L.J. Jenkins took the win at JQH Arena, going 3-for-4 on the weekend, which included an 89.25-point effort atop Jack Daniel’s After Party to seal the deal.

FORMAT – The Top 40 bull riders on the BFTS will compete in Round 1 on Friday, Round 2 on Saturday, and Round 3 on Sunday, facing one bull in each round. The riders with the Top 15 total scores after three rounds will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round on Sunday for an additional ride and a chance at the $30,000 event title. 

POSSIBLE POINTS - There are 800 possible points available at the PFI Western Invitational, as the winner of the event average will receive 400 points and each of the four round wins are worth 100 points apiece. 

TELEVISION BROADCAST – PBR LIVE via CarbonTV.com will broadcast the PFI Western Invitational in real time at 9 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 11; 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 12; and 5:50 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 13. CBS Sports Network will broadcast Round 3 live on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET. Veteran broadcaster Craig Hummer will provide the play-by-play, color commentary will be provided by Ty Murray, while Leah Garcia will handle dirt-level interviews.
