PBR appoints new leadership team

The Professional Bull Riders announce promotions within its executive leadership team.

By PBR

PUEBLO, Colo. – As Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) enters a new chapter following its acquisition in May 2015 by WME | IMG, the company today announced a number of promotions within its leadership team.

Jim Haworth will become Chairman, where he will focus on strategic global initiatives within the PBR, as well as WME | IMG.  Haworth joined PBR in 2011 as CEO.

Sean Gleason, formerly COO, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Gleason served as COO for more than 15 of PBR’s 23 years, and was instrumental in growing the once-considered niche sport into a global sports entity.

Under Haworth and Gleason’s leadership, PBR was named America’s fastest growing sport by Forbes in 2013. PBR has expanded to boast a live event audience of more than 3 million fans; international tours in Australia, Brazil, Canada and Mexico; international television distribution available in 500 million households worldwide across 40 territories; and a long-term television agreement with CBS and CBS Sports Network for its elite Built Ford Tough Series.Â
