Vieira victorious in Fresno

Fabiano Vieira went 3-for-3, including 88.25 points on Breakdown in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round to win the Fresno Invitational on Sunday in Fresno, California.

By PBR

FRESNO, Calif. – With his first victory of 2015, Fabiano Vieira earned 515 points toward the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) world standings during the Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) in Fresno, California. Vieira came from behind in the Built Ford Tough Series Championship Round to earn the victory at the Fresno Invitational at Save Mart Center. Vieira was the one of three riders to go 3-for-3 on the weekend.

Vieira covered Breakdown (Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls) for 88.25 points in the championship round to finish the event with a total ride score of 255.25 points, earning 400 event points for placing first in the event aggregate and an overall total of 515 event points toward the PBR world standings for his weekend performance

“Silvano (Alves) helped me pick my bull for the championship round,†Vieira. “He knew I’d be able to have a good ride on him. I’d watched J.B. (Mauney) ride him and knew it was a bull I could ride.â€

Valdiron de Oliveira placed second in the event after riding BMC Bucking Bulls/Jeff Robinson’s bull King Buck for 87 points in the championship round. Oliveira had scores of 82.25 and 84.75 points through the first two rounds as he tallied a total of 254 points for 290 event points that count toward the world standings.

Coming in third place was Cody Nance, who looked like he was going to repeat in Fresno as his 86.25- point ride on Fire Rock (Jeff Robinson/TNT Bucking Bulls) was good enough for first place briefly. Nance picked up 220 event points toward the world standings for his finish. Rounding out the Top 5 were Bonner Bolton in fourth place with 205 event points and Eduardo Aparecido in fifth place with 175 event points.

With a bull score of 47.75 out of 50 points, three bulls earned the Salem Nationalease High-Marked award in Fresno. Roy (Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls), Walk Off (Jeff Robinson Bucking Bulls) and Buck Dynasty (BMC Bucking Bulls/Jeff Robinson) were the top bulls in the Built Ford Tough Series championship round.
