THE RIDERS:

‘BOUT TIME – J.W. Hart has offered a $25,000 winner-take-all 1,000 Miles From Home Challenge between reigning PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney and four-time defending PRCA champion J.W. Harris. While Mauney is scheduled to face 2012 PBR World Champion Bull Asteroid, Harris will take on 2013 PRCA Bull of the Year Shepherd Hills Tested.

MAUNEY MADNESS – Mauney has ridden in the PBR for nine years, making it to the Built Ford Tough World Finals seven times and winning the event average twice. The 2013 PBR World Champion has ridden 55.77 percent of the bulls he has faced throughout his career, including two-time World Champion Bull Bushwacker and both bulls that he and J.W. Harris will face this weekend – Asteroid and Shepherd Hills Tested.

NEW ADDITION – Harris is new on the PBR BFTS scene this year after spending the last 10 years riding in the PRCA. He also made quick work of Jory Markiss during THE AMERICAN in March. Asteroid has been ridden just three times over his BFTS career, which includes J.B. Mauney, for a buckoff percentage of 93.33 and an average bull score of 45.81.

SHEPHERD HILLS TESTED – Shepherd Hills Tested may have been named PRCA Bull of the Year last season, but he has made a name for himself in the PBR as well. He has appeared on the Built Ford Tough Series nine times this year alone, throwing off all but one of his challengers including 2013 Rookie of the Year Joao Ricardo Vieira, 2013 World Champion J.B. Mauney and 2010 World Champion Renato Nunes. Veteran Kasey Hayes is the only rider who has successfully covered him during the 2014 season. Bucking off 36 of his 38 opponents over four seasons on the Built Ford Tough Series, Shepherd Hills Tested has an average score of 44.68 on the BFTS with a 94.74 buckoff percentage.
