TULSA, Okla. ― In 2013, the BOK Center in Tulsa was the site of one of the greatest moments in Professional Bull Riders history when J.B. Mauney met Bushwacker for the ninth time and recorded an 8-second, 95.25-point ride neither will soon forget. Fans who were lucky enough to be in the audience will always remember when the greatest bull the PBR has ever known was conquered.

Those who want to be there this year can get their tickets for the Aug. 15-16 PBR Express Employment Professionals Classic, part of the 2014 Built Ford Tough Series, starting Monday, May 5.

Ticket prices range from $15 to $100 and can be purchased at www.bokcenter.com, Arby’s Box Office, all Ticketmaster.com outlets, or by calling 1-866-7-BOKCTR or 800-345-7000. The bull riding action begins at 8 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

Tulsa is the first event of the second half of the 2014 BFTS so the riders will be strong, ready and anxious to meet their 2,000-pound foes. As the 19^th of 27 events this season, the riders will be hanging tough for every second and every point in order to qualify for the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Oct. 22-26.

The Express Employment Professionals Classic will feature two of Oklahoma’s favorite PBR cowboys – L.J. Jenkins who makes his home in Porum and Ryan Dirteater of Hulbert. 

Also scheduled to compete is defending PBR Tulsa event champion and defending PBR World Champion Mauney and five other PBR World Champions: Silvano Alves (2012, 2011), Renato Nunes, (2010), Kody Lostroh  (2009), current No. 1 bull rider Guilherme Marchi (2008) and Mike Lee (2004). Electrifying rookies Gage Gay and Tanner Byrne, along with Matt Triplett and veterans Sean Willingham, Kasey Hayes and Cody Nance, are also expected to be in the lineup. 

The BOK Center also will be the site of the ninth stop on two-time PBR World Champion Bull Bushwacker’s farewell tour. Earlier this year in Oklahoma City, Bushwacker’s owner Julio Moreno announced that the 2014 BFTS would be Bushwacker’s last season and his bull would be retiring after the PBR World Finals in October.  The Built Ford Tough Championship Round on Saturday evening, Aug. 16, will be the last opportunity for Tulsa fans to see the world-famous star. 

The Professional Bull Riders return to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum

PUEBLO, Colo. ― The toughest sport on dirt is returning to the Playground of the South. 

The Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series, which debuted at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in 2013, is returning to Biloxi, Miss., Oct. 3-4, with the Battle at the Beau, presented by PBR. The two-day event will feature more than two hours of non-stop, heart-pounding 8-second battles between 150-pound men and 2,000-pound bulls. The fans will be thrilled and left on the edge of their seats in excitement as they watch the intensity and incredulity of the PBR.

The Battle at the Beau will showcase the world’s Top 35 bull riders riding the best bucking bulls in the business for their share of the $140,000 total event purse. As the second to last event of the regular season, the cowboys will be hanging on for dear life to earn every point needed to qualify for the $2.2 million season finale – the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas Oct. 22-26. Biloxi is the 25^th stop on the BFTS and one of only 26 cities to host the series this year.

Tickets for the Oct. 3-4 event go on sale Tuesday, April 29, to the general public and are priced from $15 to $100.  They can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, the Mississippi Coast Coliseum box office or via phone at 800-745-3000. The bull riding action begins at 8 p.m. on Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Riders currently scheduled to compete include six former PBR World Champions: J.B. Mauney (2013), Silvano Alves (2012, 2011), Renato Nunes, (2010), Kody Lostroh (2009), Guilherme Marchi (2008) and Mike Lee (2004), the defending PBR Biloxi event champion. Also expected to ride are rookie sensations Gage Gay and Tanner Byrne, and veterans Sean Willingham, L.J. Jenkins and Kasey Hayes.  

The PBR turned 21 in 2014 and has been celebrating along each stop of the BFTS this season, which kicked off in January at Madison Square Garden.  Las Vegas will be the site of the 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals on Oct. 22-26 where the 2014 World Champion will be crowned and awarded $1 million and the coveted World Champion’s belt buckle.
