PBR, Ford to give back to community with Good Works program 
PBR’s title sponsor will encourage fans to nominate those that make a difference

PUEBLO, Colo. – Ford Trucks, the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series title sponsor, is introducing a new activation program for the 2014 PBR BFTS season: Built Ford Tough Good Works. 

Throughout the 2014 BFTS season, PBR fans are encouraged to submit stories about individuals they know who make a difference in their local community with the help of a Ford F-Series truck. Fans can submit their nominations via email to GoodWorks@pbr.com. Select submissions will be filmed and featured during PBR broadcasts on CBS and CBS Sports Network throughout the 2014 BFTS season. PBR fans will also be encouraged to enter the Built Ford Tough Good Works Sweepstakes and take the Good Works theme one step further. One lucky registrant will win a 2014 Ford F-150 with Eco Boost, as well as an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas for the 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals on Oct. 22-26. The randomly-selected winner will also have the opportunity to win a new F-Series truck, plus $25,000 for the charitable organization of his or her choice. The sweepstakes will begin at the start of the PBR’s 2014 BFTS season on Jan. 3,and fans can register at www.Ford.com/GoodWorks

Ford will also be using the Good Works program to help support the Rider Relief Fund raise money for athletes injured in the sport of bull riding. At each 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough Series event, the Rider Relief Fund will sell flying discs from its arena concourse booth for a donation of $1 or more. During intermission, fans will be asked to toss their discs into the bed of a Ford F-150 placed in the center of the arena. Any fan who successfully lands their disc in the truck bed will win an official PBR riding vest autographed by the stars of the Built Ford Tough Series. 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the flying discs will go to the Rider Relief Fund.

Tyson Foods, Inc. Announces 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough Series Sponsored Riders
J.B. Mauney, L.J. Jenkins and Chase Outlaw join “Team Tysonâ€

PUEBLO, Colo. – Tyson Foods, Inc., is sponsoring 2013 PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney, 2006 World Finals event winner L.J. Jenkins and rising star Chase Outlaw on the Professional Bull Riders 2014 Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) as part of “Team Tyson.â€

Tyson Foods began its partnership with these riders at the Monster Energy Buck Off at the Garden in New York on Jan. 3-5. Outlaw, Mauney and Jenkins will be incorporated into Tyson Foods’ overall marketing efforts to further enhance and leverage its partnership with the PBR.  

“We couldn’t be happier about our partnership with the PBR†stated Devin Cole, president,  sales and marketing and chief commercial officer of Tyson Foods. “Because of our initial success in supporting the toughest sport on dirt, we believe that adding a team of Tyson Foods-supported PBR riders will enhance our position with the PBR as well as the PBR fans and our consumers cheering for these great athletes.â€

Fans will be able to interact with the Team Tyson riders at Fan Zone events, concourse activities, and other promotional events associated with stops on the BFTS.  

Mauney is coming off one of the greatest comebacks in PBR history, overcoming a 3,000-point deficit in the world standings to win his first World Championship. The Mooresville, N.C., native was a perfect 6-for-6 at the World Finals and won four of the final 10 events last season.

"I look forward to working with Team Tyson in 2014,†Mauney said. “It is going to be an exciting year and I am proud to have Tyson Foods along for the ride."

Jenkins, from Springfield, Mo., returns for his 10th season on the BFTS after finishing eighth in the 2013 world standings thanks to seven Top-5 finishes.

"I'm very honored to be a part of the Team Tyson,†Jenkins said. “I look forward to working with Tyson Foods and introducing the PBR fans to this great company." 

Outlaw concluded 2013 as the No. 13 rider in the world and enters his third season on the BFTS. The Hamburg, Ark., native matched a career-high when he rode Modified Clyde for 89.75 points to win Round 1 in Thackerville, Okla., on Aug. 30. 

“I’m excited to be representing a world class company such as Tyson Foods, which happens to be headquartered in the great state of Arkansas.  My home state!  It should be an exciting 2014.â€

Tyson Foods began its partnership with the PBR at the 2013 Built Ford Tough World Finals and is an official partner for the 2014 BFTS season. Tyson Foods will sponsor specific PBR online and social media features that will highlight how moms use Tyson Foods products in their daily preparation of meals, as well as provide PBR fans the opportunity to submit their favorite recipes that include Tyson Foods products. Through these online and social media features, Tyson Foods will give one lucky winner and a guest the opportunity to attend the 2014 PBR World Finals.

On Jan. 11-12 the PBR will visit Allstate Arena in Chicago, Ill. for the second of 27 stops on the 2014 Built Ford Tough Series season.  The event takes place at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 and 2 p.m. on Sunday. 

The Built Ford Tough Series is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network and networks around the world. Live streaming available free online

New York – Spanish-speaking PBR fans worldwide will now be able to follow their favorite bull riders and bulls week in and week out along the 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough Series via a live stream offered free online by Epicentre.tv.

Epicentre.tv will bring the toughest sport on dirt to the millions of Hispanic PBR fans around the globe next streaming the PBR Built Ford Tough Series in Chicago taking place next weekend, Jan. 11-12, in Chicago, Ill.

Bringing the action to life to viewers across the world will be Victor Lappost, who provided commentary in Spanish in 2013 for Epicentre.tv’s initial live streams of PBR events. He will provide commentary once again and relay all the action in Spanish of each round of every Built Ford Tough Series event in 2014 to online viewers.

Professional Bull Riders hire new Vice President, Partnership Marketing

PUEBLO, Colo. – The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is proud to announce that Bob Chasse has joined the premier bull riding organization in the world as the Vice President, Partnership Marketing.  Chasse will lead the PBR’s partnership marketing team in servicing and managing existing partner relationships and generating new business opportunities.

Chasse comes to the PBR with more than 20 years of experience in sports and event marketing.  Most recently, Chasse served as the principal of Genuine Partners, a company he started in 2009 to assist companies in developing strategic marketing platforms and creating B2B and sales opportunities.  His experience also included stints at the sports and lifestyle agency HMS Worldwide as well as International Speedway Corporation, where he headed up the Partnership Marketing department for many of its Fortune 500 partners.

He also worked with leading agencies Momentum Worldwide and Millsport, where he managed brand relationships with Coca-Cola, General Mills and Pepsi Cola as well as the partnerships with their properties that included the 1996 Olympic Torch Relay, NASCAR, Major League Baseball, NCAA, USGA and ESPN X Games.Â
