PUEBLO, Colo. ― The first half of the 2014 Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series includes stops in 15 cities from the 2013 season, a return to a few old favorites and one new venue.

The 2014 BFTS kicks off at New York's Madison Square Garden on Jan. 3-5. "America's Fastest Growing Sport" (Forbes.com Aug. 2013) will make 18 stops in 15 states before its summer break.

After almost a decade, the BFTS will return to the World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo., just 35 miles from its Pueblo headquarters, on May 2-3.

Other highlights for 2014 include a stop in Phoenix, Ariz., and Duluth, Ga.

Dallas will host the Iron Cowboy V on March 1 at AT&T Stadium in conjunction with the recently announced, richest one-day rodeo in history, The AMERICAN.

The PBR's Last Cowboy Standing will take place once again in Las Vegas on May 9-10 just before the break.

For the 19th consecutive year, the PBR will visit Billings, Mont., the second oldest event on the BFTS schedule, and the series will make three stops in California, three stops in the Midwest and a visit to Washington state.

"We're coming off of a great 2013 Built Ford Tough Series season," said PBR Chairman and CEO Jim Haworth. "We broke several attendance records this year in cities such as New York, Chicago, and Anaheim; we've had a tight race for the championship with the points lead changing hands four times; J.B. Mauney ended the unbelievable buckoff streak of Bushwacker; and we're celebrating the 20th anniversary of the PBR's first competition. We're definitely looking forward to 2014 and the opportunity to make even more memories and achieve even greater success in the year that the PBR turns 21."

An additional 10 events for the second half of the season will be announced at a later date.
