PUEBLO, Colo. ― Caleb Sanderson put up 84 points in the long round and gave an 88.5-point effort in the short go for a first-place finish and $3,998.40 in earnings this past weekend at the Professional Bull Riders Lucas Oil Touring Pro Division Baton Rouge Invitational in Baton Rouge, La.
The win also earned Sanderson the top alternate spot in the PBR Built Ford Tough Series WinStar World Casino Invitational in Thackerville, Okla., this weekend, Aug. 30-31.
Neil Holmes landed in second place with a total of 171 points for a $3,284.40 payout while Brenton Chaffin took third with 169 points, picking up $1,713.60.
This weekend the TPD will make stops in Archdale, N.C. and Belton, Texas.
The 15th annual Jerome Davis PBR Invitational will take place Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., with Reese Cates, Ryan Dirteater and Josh Faircloth scheduled to ride in North Carolina.
Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m., the Central Texas State Fair will feature Skeeter Kingsolver and Markus Mariluch, as well as brothers Joseph and Ryan McConnel.
