AMERICANA, Brazil ― Two-time World Finals qualifier Edimundo Gomes used a 93.25- point effort this weekend to win the Iron Cowboy VI in Americana, Sao Paulo.
Brazil's version of the Iron Cowboy event is different from the U.S. event that took place this year in Arlington, Texas. Only the top 25 riders from last weekend's Americana event qualified to compete in this weekend's Iron Cowboy VI.
Built Ford Tough Series regulars that participated included: Fabiano Vieira, Eduardo Aparecido, Valdiron de Oliveira, Emilio Resende, Marco Eguchi, Guilherme Marchi and Silvano Alves.
The first three days of the event began like a regular event where riders compete for the highest aggregate score. On Sunday, the Top 12 in the event average were then put into a bracket-style competition.
Marchi won Round 3 with 89.88 points and led the event after competition on Saturday night to qualify for the Iron Cowboy bracket. Aparecido, Oliveira, Alves and Vieira also qualified.
