The 2013 BFTS season has been one of the most competitive to date. Three different men have held the top spot this year in the race for the PBR World Champion's title: current No. 1 man Shane Proctor regained the lead this past weekend in Billings after falling behind current No. 2 rider Marco Eguchi at the Ty Murray Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., two weeks ago, Proctor first took over the No. 1 position in Anaheim, Calif., earlier this year, removing current No. 3 cowboy Silvano Alves who had occupied the No. 1 spot for six months prior to that.

Even the bulls have been in a fierce battle to prove who the best bovine athlete of the year is. Reigning PBR World Champion Bull Asteroid has been perfect this year, but two-time PBR World Champion Bull Bushwacker has upped the ante, building a historical buck-off streak which now stands at 40 consecutive buckoffs, while also registering the highest bull scores of the year. The competition will only get more intense down the home stretch.

The Built Ford Tough Series will make 26 stops in 18 states this season culminating at the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Oct. 23-27. The finals will crown the 2013 PBR World Champion who will receive the coveted championship buckle, a $1 million bonus and a new pickup truck from Ford, the title sponsor of the Built Ford Tough Series. They will also name the PBR World Champion Bull.

The PBR is celebrating 20 years of competition in 2013. Its Built Ford Tough Series is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network and networks around the world. BFTS telecasts are produced for the PBR under a multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy® Award winner and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as executive producer.
