NASHVILLE, Tenn. ― Gary Allan's song "Bones" has been chosen as the official theme song for the 2013 Built Ford Tough Series season, which opens Jan. 4-6 at Madison Square Garden in New York. "Bones," from the forthcoming album, "Set you free," will be highlighted throughout the season, including within television broadcasts on CBS, CBS Sports Network and networks around the world. Allan's partnership with PBR will also include sweepstakes and promotions through the season.
"Gary's music is authentic and resonates with PBR fans and our athletes," PBR Chief Operating Officer Sean Gleason said. "'Bones' is the perfect evolution of opening song for our world-class broadcasts, and we feel fortunate to continue our relationship with Gary, a true talent and friend of bull riders everywhere."
Allan has been working in partnership with the PBR for several years now, including a performance at the 2012 Iron Cowboy at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The title track from Allan's last studio album, "Get Off On The Pain," has been used for the opening of PBR's television productions for the past two years. Additionally, Allan shot the music video for "Get Off On The Pain" at a BFTS event.
His hit "Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)" took a giant step up the chart this week, climbing from No. 9 to No. 5.
