PUEBLO, Colo. - The riders, staff and management of the Professional Bull Riders join the rest of the bull riding world in mourning the loss of Howard Talley, 66, who lost his battle with cancer on Saturday.

Talley was the owner of Circle T Ranch in Keatchie, La., and had provided outstanding bulls to the PBR for years, including Asteroid, the 2011 runner-up for World Champion Bull. Other Circle T bulls currently competing on the Built Ford Tough Series include Jack Daniel's After Party, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey, and Shepherd Hills Trapper.

"Howard was one of those key people whose dedication advanced the sport of bull riding further than anyone dreamed it could go," said PBR CEO Jim Haworth. "Our entire organization extends its sincere condolences to his family."

Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Talley. He is survived by his mother, Madeline Cavender and husband, Charles; father, John L. Talley and wife, Virginia; son, Jeff Talley and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Jacob and Eric Talley; sisters, Sharon Howell and husband, Bobby, and Sheila Kennedy and husband, Terry; and brother, Johnny W. Talley and wife, Ginger.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel in Shreveport, La. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, at the funeral home.
