PUEBLO, Colo. - The riders, staff and management of the
Professional Bull Riders join the rest of the bull riding world in
mourning the loss of Howard Talley, 66, who lost
his battle with cancer on Saturday.
Talley was the owner of Circle T Ranch in
Keatchie, La., and had provided outstanding bulls to the PBR for
years, including Asteroid, the 2011 runner-up for
World Champion Bull. Other Circle T bulls currently competing on
the Built Ford Tough Series include Jack Daniel's After
Party, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey, and Shepherd
Hills Trapper.
"Howard was one of those key people whose dedication advanced the
sport of bull riding further than anyone dreamed it could go," said
PBR CEO Jim Haworth. "Our entire organization
extends its sincere condolences to his family."
Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley
Talley. He is survived by his mother, Madeline
Cavender and husband, Charles; father,
John L. Talley and wife,
Virginia; son, Jeff Talley and
wife, Amy; grandchildren, Jacob
and Eric Talley; sisters, Sharon
Howell and husband, Bobby, and
Sheila Kennedy and husband,
Terry; and brother, Johnny W.
Talley and wife, Ginger.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at
Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel in Shreveport, La. Visitation will be
held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, at the funeral
home.
