PUEBLO, Colo. - The Professional Bull Riders is pleased to
announce that CBS Sports Network has added three additional Built
Ford Tough Series events to its 2012 television schedule. The
coverage adds additional telecasts to multiple-day events,
providing PBR fans with early-round coverage not previously
available. The coverage is in addition to the more than 55 hours of
live-event programming already being aired by CBS Sports
Network.
"We are excited to add three events to this year's PBR schedule,"
said Dan Weinberg, Senior Vice President,
Programming, CBS Sports Network. "PBR has proven to be the
action-packed, exciting and compelling live programming that we
thought it would be. It has generated tremendous fan interest and
is exactly the type of content we strive to provide our viewers. We
look forward to continuing this successful partnership in the
future."
The two-hour telecasts added to the schedule are:
Uncasville, Conn. (Saturday, April 28)
Billings, Mont. (Saturday, May 5)
Pueblo, Colo. (Saturday, May 19)
Each of the telecasts is scheduled to air from 10 p.m. to 12
a.m. ET.
"CBS Sports Network has already proven to be an ideal network
partner to deliver PBR programming," said PBR President and COO
Sean Gleason. "They have been listening to our
fans who desire more first- and second-round coverage of multi-day
events. The quick response to make additional programming time and
production resources available is just a small indication of the
big things yet to come from the new television home of the
PBR."
CBS Sports Network, the primary television partner of PBR, will
now televise 30 event dates, while the CBS Television Network will
broadcast an additional eight, representing almost 60 percent of
the BFTS schedule.
PBR has been working closely with CBS Sports Network to evaluate
and implement new production techniques and strategies to bring the
action closer to viewers.
Built Ford Tough Series telecasts are produced for the PBR under a
multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los
Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy® Award winner
and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as
executive producer. Hired when the PBR brought television
production in house in 2011, Neal has enhanced the broadcast
including the addition of the super-slow-motion "X-MO" replay
system, and a Telestrator, allowing the color commentators to
diagram while analyzing rides.
CBS Sports Network is available across the country through local
cable, video and telco providers and via satellite on DirecTV
Channel 613 and Dish Network Channel 158. For more information,

The BFTS season opened on Jan. 6-8 with capacity crowds at Madison
Square Garden in New York. The BFTS will make 28 stops in 23 states
before the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Oct.
24-28. The World Finals are where the PBR World Champion will be
crowned and awarded the coveted championship buckle and a $1
million bonus. The richest bull riding event in the world, the
World Finals has a total purse of more than $2 million.
