John Elway joins Back Seat Buckers

Hall of Fame quarterback to choose a bull to compete in ABBI program

By PBR

PUEBLO, Colo. - Back Seat Buckers is a groundbreaking new program that allows anyone to become a bucking bull stock contractor. NFL legend John Elway knows a thing or two about being groundbreaking, so it's no surprise that he embraced the chance to get involved with the PBR and ABBI as a stock contractor.

The NFL great had more victories than any other starting quarterback in history at the time of his retirement from the Denver Broncos. Elway also was the starting quarterback for a record five Super Bowls.

"We are so excited to have John Elway as one of our members," shared ABBI Executive Director Kaycee Simpson. "Having a legend like this as one of our stock contractors is a great honor, and we look forward to seeing him behind the chutes."

The Back Seat Buckers will make history with an inaugural season featuring half a million dollars in prize money, with the winning bull at the World Finals in Las Vegas taking home $250,000.

"We started Back Seat Buckers with PBR because we wanted to bring the thrill of bucking bulls to everyone," shared Simpson. "We wanted PBR fans who watch the Built Ford Tough Series on TV and come and fill our arenas, from Madison Square Garden to The Honda Center in Anaheim, to be able to own a bull with no work and no worry on their part.  We've screened bulls from coast to coast for bucking ability, and bought animals with elite bloodlines from the top stock contractors in the country."

The Back Seat Buckers' bull draft will take place at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on March 3. Elway knows a lot about being drafted; he was the NFL's No. 1 draft pick in 1983. He was also drafted by the Yankees while still at Stanford, although he chose to stay in college and then make football his career.

Elway is planning on naming the bull he picks that day "Mile High Miracle." Elway's Colorado ties run deep - as do the Back Seat Buckers'. Pueblo, Colo. Is home to both PBR (Professional Bull Riders) and ABBI (American Bucking Bull Inc.). It is also where the 100 elite bulls will be housed and trained. Back Seat Buckers offers true turn-key bull ownership starting at just under $12,000.

Although many sports stars are getting involved with Back Seat Buckers, what truly makes it special is that it gives anyone - from a housewife in Los Angeles to a Hall of Famer- an equal shot at owning a champion bull. Spots are still available to join these sports legends as a bucking bull owner.

Back Seat Buckers is a program of 100 elite Futurity bulls that will compete against each other this season for a total of half a million dollars in prize money. The Finals event winner will earn his owner $250,000. There are still some spots available to purchase a bull. For more information visit americanbuckingbull.com or backseatbuckers.com.
