The world’s best bull riders have selected the North Carolina native as top bull provider for the second consecutive year.

By PBR

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Professional Bull Riders announced that for the second year in a row, Jeff Robinson of Mars Hill, N.C., has been voted PBR Stock Contractor of the Year.

Robinson finished ahead of Circle T Ranch and Rodeo of Keatchie, La., in voting by the Top 40 bull riders in the world.

Robinson has one of the deepest pens of bulls in PBR history, led by Chicken on a Chain, who was the 2007 World Champion Bull. Robinson has two of the five contenders for World Champion Bucking Bull in 2011, and had five of the eight contenders in 2010, with Highway 12, Voodoo Child, I'm A Gangster, Super Duty, and Chicken on a Chain.

He is the only contractor to haul bulls to all 29 Built Ford Tough Series events in 2011, and his bulls accounted for 577 total BFTS outs, which is almost twice as many outs as any other contractor. Robinson and Chad Berger, who was voted Stock Contractor of the Year for three years in a row from 2007-09, are the only two contractors with more than 1,000 combined outs the past three seasons. They are also the only two contractors since 2003 who have accounted for more than 100 outs in the Built Ford Tough Championship Rounds in any single season. Robinson led with 147 in 2010, while Berger was tops with 108 outs in 2009 and 105 outs in 2008. Robinson also led in 2011.

Robinson also promotes or co-promotes more than a dozen Touring Pro Division events across the country, including the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Big Bull Tour, that had 15 events in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Montana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Wyoming. In addition, he supplies bulls to a variety of other TPD events.

The 2011 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals are Oct. 26-30 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Bull riding begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. The PBR World Champion will be crowned on Sunday, receiving the coveted World Champion Buckle and a $1 million bonus. The richest bull riding event in the world, the World Finals has a total purse of more than $2 million.

The World Finals officially begin on Tuesday, Oct. 25 with the inaugural PBR Legends Reunion at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, which was the site of the first five PBR World Finals from 1994-98. The event begins at 4 p.m. with the Founders Forum, and continues until 9 p.m. with the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals Kickoff Party. Each Legends Reunion ticket package contains tickets to the Founders Forum, Alumni Meet & Greet, Heroes & Legends Ceremony, and the Built Ford Tough World Finals Kickoff Party, as well as a commemorative Legends Reunion ball cap and an autograph book. For more information please click here.

Tickets for the World Finals and the Legends Reunion are on sale at the Thomas & Mack Center box office, www.UNLVTickets.com, and by telephone at (866) PBR-SHOW. There is a special $150 ticket that includes the Legends Reunion and Rounds 1 and 2 of the World Finals, a savings of $170.

The 2011 PBR World Finals will be televised live in HD on VERSUS at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and on NBC at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday. DIRECTV will have the first-ever 3D broadcast of bull riding at 4 p.m. ET on DIRECTV's 3D channel, n3Dâ„¢ (channel 103).

For more information on the World Finals, please visit www.pbr.com.

The Finals consist of six rounds of competition. The first five rounds feature all of the riders matched against the toughest bulls. The scores from the five rides will be combined, and the Top 15 riders will advance for an additional round of competition, following the completion of Round 5 on Sunday, Oct. 24.

The 2011 PBR World Champion will be the rider with the most Built Ford Tough Series points accumulated during the regular season and the World Finals. There are a potential 5,500 points available at the World Finals, so any one of the Top 6 riders heading into Las Vegas has the opportunity to win the title.
