By PBR

Battling down to the wire to try and qualify for the elite Built Ford Tough Series and the World Finals, the Professional Bull Riders Touring Pro Division will have three events in Texas this weekend.

The Victoria Community Center in Victoria, Texas will host the Texas Kicking Bull Riding TPD on Friday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m., while 4C's Arena in Stephenville, Texas will be the site of the Wild Card TPD at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, and at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Bay City, Texas will host the Matagorda Co. Fair and Rodeo Bull Blast TPD on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Matagorda County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from the MCFA at (979) 245-2454.

The TPD is the minor-league tour of the PBR, where both established veterans and newcomers to the professional ranks compete against some of the most famous bucking bulls. The TPD gives riders the opportunity to compete in PBR-sanctioned events while earning money to qualify for the Built Ford Tough Series, which is comprised of the Top 40 bull riders in the world. Every five events on the BFTS, riders (based on points) who have slipped below the Top 30 are dropped from the BFTS and the Top 5 riders (based on money earned) from the TPD are allowed to move into the BFTS.
