PBR fan favorite Cord McCoy (Tupelo, Okla.), and his brother Jet, finished The Amazing Race in the season finale on Sunday evening, closing out the race in second place behind brothers Dan and Jordan.
The final three teams raced back to the United States, following planeside drama between the cowboys and brothers Dan and Jordan. The teams ended up in San Francisco where they completed four challenges before they reached the finish line.
Each team had to find their way to San Francisco’s historic Coit Tower for the first Roadblock. Once there, one team member had to scale the side of the Tower in order to reach the next clue hanging at the top.
From Coit Tower, the teams headed to George Lucas’ Letterman Digital Arts Center to find the Yoda statue, where they participated in a virtual game simulation. One team member stepped into a special motion capture suit while the other partner directed them through the virtual course, all based on Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Next, the teams rushed to the Tonga Room. Upon their arrival, they were instructed to pick up a luggage trunk and carry it to the next location – The Great American Music Hall. Once there, the teams put their brains to work, organizing psychedelic posters of previously eliminated racers.
Their last and final clue sent the teams to Candlestick Park, home of the San Francisco 49ers, where host Phil Keoghan, and all eliminated teams were waiting to cheer the final teams to the finish. Arriving at the finish line first were brothers Dan and Jordan, closely followed by fan-favorite cowboys, Cord and Jet, and model couple Caite and Brent.
Cord McCoy, who is currently competing on PBR’s Touring Pro Division, and his brother have won over the hearts of viewers with trademark phrases like “Oh my gravy!” and “Son of a buck!” and their dedicated cowboy work ethic. The brothers have won sailboats and vacations to Patagonia, Hawaii and Alaska.
